Bobb has been completely overhyped. Not his fault. He is a squad player at best.

The year off hasn't helped him; the hype was from the USA tour where he had been in scintillating form and then the injury happened.

We had a long wait to see him back but unfortunately, he has not come back looking the same player yet.

Of course they did, they could have pressed us instead of sitting deep trying to keep the score down, nobody from that league will ever win doing that against a top (weakend) side. As posted above it's a free hit, they can become more pragmatic if it gets out of control.

This wasn't our best team by a long way, good enough to win even if they had a go, but if they don't have a go it's just a nailed on win.

Poor management for me, and a poor watch for their fans, imho.

If they pressed us they would have got battered. They couldn’t get the ball of us apart from kick us of the park they didn’t have a choice

It's a win against piss poor opponents but there's nobody in that City 11 screaming I'm top class apart from Foden. It's okay having a small squad if it's packed with world class players, otherwise we are just going to run our top players into the ground again this season. Too many squad players aren't good enough or past it.

Professional performance. Pleased for Trafford that he kept a clean sheet, didn’t have much to do but had his angles right for the one that hit the post. Gonzalez played well.

A few of the others showed exactly why they’re playing against Huddersfield in the league cup rather than being picked to play against Arsenal in the PL

Trafford did ok but at the late corner they had he was nowhere near it, Donearunner would have dominated and punched it clear. Summed up for me why we went for the Italian

Am I in the minority thinking Bobb gets away with some very average performances. For me he's behind Doku and Savinho. Very poor last night imo.

He was in the game enough, just not that productively ..... looked a lot like Grealish did at times, with too many back passes, and created very little of real note ..... he's got to 'up the ante' and really make his presence felt, if he wants a regular first team place.

How do we maximise the fee? His value diminishes if he plays as he's not good enough, and those always on the bench are deemed not good enough.

I thought Nico Gonzales played well. The dressing down for the cameras he got from Pep when he came off wasn't warranted and could have waited until they were in the changing rooms. Poor lad looked shell shocked.

Bob was good kept trying kept going at the the 2 to 3 players on him then once he got past was a box full of defenders he put a couple of good crosses in! Those who can’t see a good player there and call them out after he didn’t get a goal an assist! For me a blind short sighted or just want someone to moan at!

I don't think he's 'getting away with it'. He's just coming back from basically an entire season out injured. Even Rodri, one of the best players in the world, is taking some time to get back into his stride.
