Hugh Ferris HT 'show'

After part 2 today I'd rather have nothing.

To be presice I'm tempted to talk to Danny who is 4 seats away from me and suggest a knee capping at the next team meeting.

Its beyond awful. Imagine it at a rag game.

I never really notice what happens at half time, too busy catching up with the people around me. We sit/stand and have a chat, sometimes about the first half sometimes about transfers and sometimes just about what we've been doing since last we met. It's a strange concept I know, this talking to people but it seems a lot more interesting, from what I'm reading, than whatever the half time entertainment appears to be!! ;-)

Maybe talking to the people around you might catch on eh? ;-)
You're normal.

Oh heck, don't tell my family, they think I'm not normal. ;-)

Quiet riot, it can be a little noisy but we manage.. :-)

Nothing against Hugh - he's a presenter and does his job reasonably well... Whoever has decided on the current format at half time needs a head wobble - it is dire...

Has anyone ever seen a regular fan be given a microphone and entertain a crowd... Stick with crossbar challenge or that inflatable where they won a holiday... But please no more fan singing or commentary - it's cringeworthy

(Just thought - Maybe it's a ploy to get us on the concourse and consuming !!)

Gets worst every game. Cant be that hard to do something that isn't cringey as fuck.
There was one game, can't remember who it was against, but all they did was play four songs and put a few notices on the screens for upcoming games. And that was it in the whole of half time.

That was spot on. That's all that's ever needed pre-game and half time.

I can't be doing with all the shite talk and silly games. I think it's just cringeworthy. Too Americanised or should I say "Americanized"?

We don't need talking at. It's not the tele. You don't need to fill in time without the actual football with talking. And I certainly don't need "entertaining". I don't need something going on whether it be silly games or whatever shite they want to do. I am quite capable of talking to the person next to me about the game or anything else I won't get bored if they don't put some shite on for us.

Exactly!

I was trying to talk to the person next to me about his summer what he's got up to etc. (He wasn't at the Liverpool game) have a bit of a catch up. I'm finding myself shouting over Ferris and the two fans shouting and screaming Aguerooooooooooo!

It's not necessary, why they feel the need to put all this on for our 'Matchday Experience'.

Some music, a crossbar challenge or a race in one of them massive ball things, some more music until the teams come out. Sorted jobs a good'un.

I have no problem with him. He's just doing what all presenters have to do, present stuff to look great even though it's clear what they are presenting is a bag of shite (which is half time entertainment).

Not saying you are wrong to dislike him. Natalie Pike did my head in when she first started, but i'm ok with now that she seems to of stopped going on about how fit the players are and concentrates on talking about football.

That said, I don't see much pre match and post match entertainment because my preference is the pub.

But that is the point...... we don't need presenters. No one goes to the game for the half time entertainment and the words ''match day experience'' should be shoved right up these presenters arses.
Fans go to the game to watch the game. These presenters add nothing that fans want. Just stick a load of local bands music on and give us the half time scores along with Junior Blues with birthdays and other requests.
Or the Beswick Prize Band!

Separate point but I bet these presenters get free tickets as well for talking complete bollocks.

There should be 4 different things going on -one in front of each stand.
Family Stand - a children's entertainer - magic tricks, balloon sculpting etc.
South Stand/ 109/110 -stripper and blue comedian
East Stand - few songs from local folk or minorities band
Colin Bell - local Am Dram doing highlights from Shakespeare plays -quietly done though so as not to disturb those talking about Tarquins Uni place or the new line of winter wear that Greenwoods has just got in.
