Hughes Bought Injury Prone Bellamy Because......

on another note RMAB, i notice you havent done a recent blog, is that because we have done well? nothing to moan about?

Exactly, and yes, weve been doing REALLY well.

I know bellers was always injury prone, but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't of got away from the bottom 3 as easy as we did, ok he only played like 10 games but in every game he was amazing and was better than most players on the pitch, without his injury record and attitude he could really be a top class striker.

Well you know what you're gettin' when you buy Bellamy ..... plenty of effort and a gifted footballer , who's capable of scorin' stunning goals ..... if only in fits and starts!

Unfortunately you're also getting a player who's always missed matches with injury ..... and he's hardly likely to change now either!

You really have become tiresome with these crap threads, why don't you shout in front of your camera again?

why dont you fuck off and dont read them then ? :)

to other people, im not slagging bellamy but hes not going to be any use to in the long term so I dont think he was a particularly shrewd buy, more of a case of bolstering Hughes' side in the dressing room than with a view to him being a long term solution to our striker shortage, I happen to like Bellamy and of course hes scored us crucial goals.
personally i dont believe in all the dressing room shite, but i do believe bellamy was bought as an instant injection of goals (which worked) and as an impact sub for the future as we knew we would be bringing in more talent in the summer.

He bought Bellamy for the following reasons

1 - He was available

2 - He is better than our other striking options

3 - He would come to City

4 - Premier league experienced

5 - Hughes knows him as a player

No big conspiracy, I doubt Bellamy was the man Hughes wanted above all else but he was available, we needed someone so we bought him.

I was no fan of Bellamy prior to his move to COMS but his performances and goals suggested he was a good buy.

I know he's injury prone etc but his recent injury is not a recurrence of an old one so it's harsh to blame Hughes for being short sighted on this front. Shit happens.

There's a bit more to it than that. Hughes directly commented at the time about Bellamy having an influence in the dressing room, I remember finding his comments embarassing tbh.

Yeah because I'm sure that one word from Bellamy and the rest of the squad would blindly follow.

Bellamy 'Hi guys, Hughes is the greatest man to walk the earth since Kane from Kung Fu and Jesus Christ'

Rest of the squad in unison 'We've seen the light Craig, thank you for showing us the error in our ways'

City then went on a 20 match unbeaten run, winning the league and Uefa cup.

Hughes laughed an evil laugh whilst stroking Bowens head and Bellamy was rewarded by Robinho sculpting a statue of him in Brazil where Pele, Dunga and Kaka pray on a daily basis.

Quality quality quality!!!
