I think I've actually uncovered something about the official site here . Look at last wednesday. A whole 3 pages gloating at our defeat in Munich. Highlights, interviews, the lot. And not a single line about our ladies creditable 1-0 win at rossendale united.

Fucking biased rag bastards.
You might be right if "our ladies" were officially a part of Manchester City, but they're not.

Being silly doesn't improve any argument.

As per usual when a
" celeb" type poster comes on , all the bluemoon " big guns " come out with their ", look at me_ posts , ill be your best freind please notice me" !!

It's embarrassing .

I suggest you read some back copies of the men over the last 6,months then tell me there's no bias

Sad

Its even sadder Corky, when most people/fans would sooner believe other Blues fans who do not read or purchase the MEN,but slag it off because others do,so they must be right.
I am talking about Brennan, who some Blues whinge at because he`s a supposed Rag and for no other reason.
He certainly doesn`t have an agenda against us.

Im inclined to believe you . Agenda is far to paranoid a word , but I can't remember the amount of times I've thrown that paper down in anger at the almost " gleeful",reporting of our troubles as if they were new to football .
I think the MAIN local paper has a responsibility to support our club , the reporting has been in my opinion been written with a biased smirk

Or as SB remarked when someone suggested his write ups had been done though gritted teeth,I think the phrase used.

Personally I don't think the MEN has an agenda aginst City. It would be ludicrous of them to do so; they'd alienate half their readership in a fell swoop. They clearly are biased in favour of both Manchester teams, as you'd expect from a regional paper. Some of the paranoia on here is a bit far fetched.

However, those who think there is no wider anti-City agenda in sections of the national press are being a bit naive. It's patently obvious.

I'm not sure if I'm sitting on the fence, or just alienating eveyone on this thread. Either way, there are degrees of truth in both sides of the argument. Nothing is ever black and white. And other cliches.

I've probably bought it almost ay for the last 30yrs and have never seen any agenda against us, quite the opposite.
Match reports have always been spot on, Hincey and Bailey are/were as blue as they come, SB's reports and articles are always positive.
I never actually read or look at any rag stuff in there so can't say if they are treated better. But to suggest they don't like us is laughable on so many levels.

So true, thats why I only read the MEN.. Ironically its the only paper that doesn't enjoy having a pop at us..

It's a difficult balancing act when a blue reads something negative, is it true is it false the nationals certainly do have an agenda , I just feel the MEN should be a beacon of light and truth , so that when we read about our club they have brushed aside the Shite and report the facts , but in.my opinion over the.last year or so they regurgitate national news .

We need to have a paper we can trust and have support , and that goes for both clubs

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not advocating the MEN as being a "beacon of light and truth", as you put it. Their flaws are both numerous and obvious. But there is a difference between being inadequate and being disingenuous, and I think the MEN falls into the former category.

Peter Spencer very rarely helps City's cause but often helps Utd's.

He appears quite often these days on the radio in a supposedly 'neutral' position but somehow manages to add fuel to the fire of negative rumours concerning City, even when they've already been discounted.

Ask him about problems at the swamp though & Fergie is always in control.

He was also personally responsible for big headline articles about high profile City players possibly signing for Utd, back in the days when we had nowt. Coincidentally, these articles used to appear just before derby games. None of the players ever signed for Utd.
