Back to the original topic (as opposed to the merits or otherwise of a journalists work).

As many on here will know and recall. I have never rated Hughes, he has never been anything other than a below average manager who has achieved precisely nothing as a boss.

I never wanted him here he never did anything for us and now he's gone he's trying to undermine the authority of the current manager.

That is about as cheap and as low down as you can get.... I would expect nothing less from such an abject failure.

Yes, everything written about city is fair and objective and true.

No it isn't. But if there is one place you do get consistently fair and objective city pieces it's the men.

In fact some might say it's articles often represent the one-eyed view of the simple minded city fan. Like all papers, this is For commercial reasons, as Brennan above hints.

The press seek to sell papers. It really isn't complicated.

Not at all contradictory. I have rung up Joorabchian's PR to ask for their comment and input on the Tevez story, as is my duty.
They have never contacted me to give me a story on anything, and I have never rung them to fish for a story.

One last thing.
I can't pin down the Independent match report to which one poster referred, saying it had the same last six paragraphs as the MEN report.
But if that did happen, the explanation is a simple one. The first match report put up on the MEN website straight after Saturday games is provided by the Press Association, which also supplies the same stories and match reports to all the national newspapers.
It often happens that more than one website and/or newspaper use the PA report, as their reporters are usually off doing other things - in my case trying to get a word with Mancini or a player.
To suggest there is something sinister about it is rubbish.

But I think it's fair to say that message boards like Bluemoon are now more influential among City fans. No one buys it any more, and I bet 95% of City fans online will click Bluemoon, and <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.mcfc.co.uk</a> before they check out MEN comment. You only have to look at the Transfer Window for who was first with the real news
