Yeah, that's right mate our seson is over, quarter finals of the uefa cup we're shit sack everyone, we did loads better last season, no i mean the season before, hang on the season before that........etc etc.

exactly. we showed what the TEAM is capable of. that wasn't hughes out there tonight. that was the players.
Hughes changes were wrong. we took a def mid off (zabs) and replaced him with an alleged def mid (gelson) when we needed a goal. he then took off the best player on the park (Elano) and brought on a novice striker, who in fairness has tallent, but lacks experience. (Sturridge)
IMO we should have pushed robbie behind the strikers into his natural position, taken the offside magnet (caicedo) off and replaced him with petrov on the left. we should have replaced zabs with evans. and pushed kompany back to centre half. so the team looked like this:-

Sorry mate, but Elano was the best player on the pitch tonight.
Ireland has been great this season bit was off the pace tonight and was never in the game. elano was dangerous from
free kicks and hit the bar/post. Gave his all and yes was knackered. But he was still giving the 'team' more than Ireland.
Chasing the game we didnt need another defensive midfielder...
Or were you not payin attention to the match?
I'm not anti hughes, but this didnt make sense. Zab was knackered and injured and should of been replaced
with Petrov for the the last 15 minutes. in my opinion of course. It really didnt matter if we conceeded again as we
were already going out. Sturridge should of come on for Caicedo.

Its all about opinion isnt it. Hughes spends every day with them lads, and given the chance would definately want someone other than fernandes to fill that roll but at the moment he doest and at the time he had to make the sub there was no chance zaba could of carried on any longer,he was pulling up every time he ran, there was still a fair amount of time left and a fair amount of defending to do which you could not be certain elano and ireland would have done the work needed. So he made the decision maybe it was a mistake but no feelings toward the manager should have been shown tonight other than good ones. Nothing should have got in the way of supporting city tonight but it seems that theres a very vocal section of our support that would rather show their disliking of hughes rather than their support for the team.

And yes, I did boo when Elano went off, but I clapped gelson on and shout nothing but support from then on.
Hughes's substitutions didnt have an impact on the game.
I've seen enough of Fernandes to know that he isnt going to create a goal out of nothing...and I'm sure Hughes knows that
too, havin watched him more than me in training *8-)

To be fair to Hughes he didnt buy Gelson, Sven H Christ did, and obviously Hughes, for whatever reason, wanted to put on a midfielder hence the introduction of Gelson. Of all the things to slate the man for this is not it, Gelson isnt even that bad anyway just a new scapegoat for those fans who always need a scapegoat.
To be fair to Hughes he didnt buy Gelson, Sven H Christ did, and obviously Hughes, for whatever reason, wanted to put on a midfielder hence the introduction of Gelson.
