Hughes going RUMOURS! [Merged]

to be fair though we have NOT concluded a single piece of transfer business in a full working week - plenty of speculation about who we are in for but nothing signed and sealed. This would still just about fit with the goat's so called transfer embargo.

may still be more to all this than meets the eye, as such.

No it doesn't. We've made a firm bid for Santa Cruz which has been rejected.

Do we know that the bid was this week(perhaps it was the end of last week)?

on THURSDAY that a bid for RSC had been received, but then rejected. I'm sure I heard Tuesday or Wednesday from Blackburn that they hadn't received a bid for RSC yet. So I'd say that it was Thursday we put the bid in.

Bear in mind the rumours that Hughes told Aldridge and Cook on Saturday after the game that he needed new players ASAP, seems a bit odd to me. Surely RSC is Hughes main target (if only for 'sentimental' or physcological reasons for Hughes). Very strange that we wait that long to put a bid in. Especially as we knew the starting block, as we put a bid of £12m for him in the summer didn't we? So we knew Blackburn would want more than that.

I'm sure someone is in control. The last few days / weeks / months just look like a cluster fuck.
