Hughes could easily put a stop to this rot playing this formation-

--------------Given--------------
Zab--- Onuoha------Lescott---Bridge
-------------NDJ/VK---------------
---------Ireland---Barry------------
Tev/swp-----------------Robbie/Bellers
---------------Ade----------------

Get the ball on the floor and play some football. But No he's to stubborn to change it, and won't dare to drop Captain Toure who he paid 12m for and gave him 90k a week for 4 years.[/quo

Think you're spot on with the back four. Toure doesn't seem to cut the mustard. We need someone who can organize the defence with Given. ( I'm not mentioning Dunne ) and a superstar RB.

We sack him..
The new manager takes over..
The new manager then says after his 1st defeat yes but this team is not my team....
Judge me when my players have arrived blah blah blah another shed loads of players come and goes.
2011 we sack that manager and the merry go round starts again.
GET A GRIP. We have been slaughtered over the years from everyone about how many managers we go thru.
Changing managers over the past 35 years on such a regular basis has done what for us ?????? NOTHING.

we were shit, we had no money, we couldn't attract any top manager, that was then

now we ain't shit, we have money, we have class players, were linked with top players, we can get top class managers.

We were right to sack managers in the past 'cos they were shite aswel. Where is Frank Clarke or Peter Reid or Phil Neal or any other useless bastard you could think of. We didn't make mistakes sacking them, the mistake(s) came when it came to hiring their replacements.

I didn't want Hughes from day 1 and I don't want him now. He has done nothing other than buy good/very good players and turn them into pub team players in 15 or so matches. I cannot believe anyone other than Mrs Hughes thinks he is doing a reasonable job, let alone a good jon
We dont normally give a manager more than 2 years so we dont know if they might be the dogs bollocks for the job. We are renowned for it that when we have a bad run of results we sack the manager. It doesent work.
We have to at least give him till the end of the year and i dont mean December.
Believe it or not we are in a position where most people on here were happy for us to finish at the end of the year.
Its still November... Only just mind you !

We are in this position NOW but we have had a pretty straight forward fixture list, we haven't beat anyone we shouldn't have done and blew it big time against Hull, Burnley and Fulham now for all the will in the world they are not Utd, Chelsea, Spurs, L'pool(on form).

We are very unlikely to finish in a good position if we cannot beat 2 of the worst teams in the league at home. And your point about the Managers, why would anyo ne give someone 2yrs in a job when it is clear after 1yr they are useless. Dont give me all that 'its not their team' rubbish either as 90% of managers inherit shit teams, that is generally how they got the job in the first place

Lets get this right... Hughes was brought in because of his record in the transfer market ie getting good players at decent prices (Thaksin was skint)

What we need is a proven blueprint to success... much like a franchise model, something which has a successful track record ie Jose, Hiddink etc been there and done it Hughes has NOT simples!

Ask yourself this question... if Hughes was available from tomorrow which top teams would have him?

Answe: No Fecker!!

Finally people are beginning to see that the Emporer really does have no clothes.

Find a good well proven manager (e.g. Hiddink), sign him up and sack El Hughesless ASAP.

Question Don, If we sack Hughes and get lets say Hiddink in where do you reckon we will finish this year ?

Higher than if we keep the 'inept one'!
Seriously Hiddink is an experienced Manager of world standing and Hughes just isn't. I just can't see what he offers, what exactly are his unique qualities(Hughes that is)?

Did you see the job he did when he took over from Scolari at Chelsea?

Why do you think he should? What qualities has he shown in the last 18months that suggest the next 6 are going to be better. Please don't say the words 'gel' 'disipline' or 'he has worked wonders behind the scences' because frankly I'm not interested if the players do army stlye training or there is a nice new office block
