Hughes' Legacy

His legacy is the damage the usless c*nt inflicted on the club at every level.

Take bow son, lol.....
My sentiments exactly, we sold good players and replaced them with mediocre players.
Dunne and Elano in this team would be wonderful

All 3 are defensive midfielders therefore scoring aint their job!! Scoring goals hasn't really been an issue so does it matter??

right! so why did sell elano, who scores goals and drives the midfield forward, and replace him with a one paced, steady eddie player like barry? that's his legacy. no attack minded midfielders apart from ireland - and he even pushed him further back! we desperately need a link man.

Think this is an awfull arguement... under Hughes we were one of the top scorers in the league... i think Kompany was bought as a long term defender, he's played midfield for us mostly, not in the past under other managers.

We sold Elano because he was disruptive, talented... but not willing to put a shift in unless it was a "big" game.

Hughes got the sack on his defensive frailities, i've no idea what you're trying to get out of this, but i think you're well wide of the mark.

the three signings he made for central midfield, kompany, de jong and barry, have collectively scored four goals in ninety-eight appearances. i think this is what i think mancini is referring to when talking about 'changing the mentality' - we just don't have the midfield to drive us forward and why we never seem to have enough players busting a gut to join the attack. can't explain why bobby bought vieira though!
it would have been interesting to see if this mariga fella could have done the business.
How many of Kompany's games has he played in midfield though!
De Jong was a waste of money, Barry was a good buy but is being wasted playing alongside that lead weight.
The rest of Hughes sigings are good and bad but Toure, Adebayor & Santa Cruz must represent some of the worst business ever in the EPL!

That mediocre squad included Elano, one of the best creative mids in the world!

So very very good that barcelona, the rags, chelsea and real madrid came knocking in the summer offering 40 million each but we decided to sell him to Galatasaray of the world famous Turkish league for 7 Million

I hate this Elano was great stuff, he truly was shit, talented yes but only ever showed it 5 time, rest of the time sulked and when he did play we might as well have played with 10 men

the majority of kompany's games have been in midfield and that's the main area what hughes bought him for.

nothing awful about this argument at all. we were high scorers last season with elano and robinho in the squad - two creative players. tell me, where is our lampard, gerard, fabregas?
un!ted get away without one because they have rooney. not since stuart pearce was in charge have i seen such a defence minded midfield with not one central player seemingly wanting to join in attack. stephen ireland maybe, but he's out of form and continually frustrates with his lack of thought before a pass.

You are clueless to what he's thinking.
"Shay will come out for them",unless you are saying you are on the same wavelength that is ??
He doesn't know the players he doesn't know the prem & he certainly has no idea how other teams play & he's clueless to the tactics that are used, not his fault btw why the fuck should he know.
Hughes didn't get close to finishing the job so the legacy bit is silly.

I said that just after pointing out that it's silly saying you know what he thinks unless you are on the same page as when he said Shay will come out for delaps long throws & deal with them.....it was an example thing of his thinking.

I think the problem is, is that hughes was obsessed with buying defensive midfielders, he would of had a team of 11 DM's if he could of!!

He sure did imagine this as a classy Hughes midfield

Zablettea De Jong Kompany Barry

he would have loved to have played
