hughes on dunne

Regarding all this "he didn't talk to me" stuff. Managers live and die by results and nothing else.

Last night England did well and there was much talk about the "big" players being kept on their toes by Capello as they didn't know what he was thinking.

When a team managed by Keegan had a good run of results it was all about him making the players feel 100 feet tall with all the confidence boosting talk.

If we get top four this season then talking to the players will be out. If we end up 8th then talking will be in.

Let's wait a little while longer and see what happens...

ps. all this Dunne stuff sounds like nonsense to me. It's quite likely both of them are telling the truth with their own positive spin. Is being told you are fourth choice, but can stay if you really want, the same as being forced out? Probably it is to Dunne, but not to Hughes.

Now you take what Mourhino and Baconface do out of context. They give players chances and if they make too many mistakes they leave them out. Explain that with Petrov? Explain that with Hart and not telling him he's valued, underpinning that with the acquisition of Taylor(better than Hart??)! I mean why hasn't he spoken him at Brum? Is he now the enemy?? Explain that with Dunne who had made a terrific start to the season with Touré at his side.

About Dunne, I'm sure it was said they hadn't spoken for 6 months. Maybe I'm wrong... I'm 'clutching at straws' again...

Yeh, you're definatly clutching at straws there, seeing as Hughes has said several times that Hart has gone out to get experience.

I'm amused that both you and Shears chose to highlight the Taylor part, but then totally neglect to answer the next question next to it!!

Comedy in its purest form.

Who gives a shit if Dunne is whining to the media about who said what, the Duncester is at Villa now and has been woefully average in his performances for a long time. Got rid of some dead wood in the squad and picked up a decent fee.

The one about Hughes having not spoken to him...

If you can be arsed, find the thread and see my post in it...

You'll be shocked to find that I suggested that if Hughes hasn't spoken to Hart by Nov/Dec then I will be appalled and would consider it poor form all round...however, four weeks into the season, no it doesn't concern me...

Thanks for ignoring the rest of my post. I can only presume that the straws your trying to grasp are getting shorter and shorter...

Do you mean someone would have had to prick his conscience to do so??

That's okay then...
