The one about Hughes having not spoken to him...

If you can be arsed, find the thread and see my post in it...

You'll be shocked to find that I suggested that if Hughes hasn't spoken to Hart by Nov/Dec then I will be appalled and would consider it poor form all round...however, four weeks into the season, no it doesn't concern me...

Do you mean someone would have had to prick his conscience to do so??

That's okay then...

You have illustrated in this thread quite clearly that your anti-Hughes prejudice precludes you from having any rational or objective discussion on his actions...

Oh do you mean the "rational or objective" want for him to call a young charge that feels cut off from the club because the manager has neglected to make him feel he's still a City player?

Silly me. Here's me thinking it doesn't take much to pick up a phone to a kid that wants to be back here, eventually. He's bitter and a loser and whatever you want to call him...

Give it up mate...you're even putting me to sleep now...although the words bitter and loser are quite fitting. Do the maths...

When the interview came out he had been gone for about a month and hadn't played a competative game, so what exactly was there for Hughes to say?

i thought Hart was a 21/22 year old not a twelve year old kid at his first scout camp
too much is made of him not being phoned

I thought that aswell.

Can you imagine, a 17 year old kid out on work experience getting upset because his college tutor hadn't phoned him?

He'd be ripped to shreds.

i think the right way to go about it is for one of the coaches to go and watch him on a regular basis to see how he is progressing
i would also hope that Hughes is engaged in more pressing matters like keeping us in the top 6

The point of Joe Hart going out on loan was to gain experience and develop as a player. That means growing up on and off the field and becoming mentally tougher than he is at the moment - that's not a criticism he's only young. Hughes probably intentionally hasn't phoned him - he needs to get on with things by himself. And also i very much doubt mccleish would like another manager have regular chats with one of his players - which for this season he is.
Plus as manchester city manager i think hughes will have a hell of a lot of things on his plate and dozens of things to deal with daily without worrying about players who are, for the time being, the responsibility of another manager

When I went on my work experience some random bloke from college checked on me, so yeh.

If loaning out a young player and ignoring him is what you lot think develops players, you're sadly deluded!! Who gives a sh*t what McLeish thinks if Hughes wants to check in on a player he loaned out? He's not breaking a law!

A phone call to say 'I saw some highlights of you/ my staff report back that you're doing well. Keep it up.' Who is ever to busy to make a 5 min phone call in a 7 day week?!!

Pathetic excuses!
