I think Dunne is very bitter about having his replacement pursued whilst still captaining the side.

It must be hard to know your employers are buying an improved version and the guy who will get the armband is playing alongside you at the same time, all the while you are expected to perform which he did.

However I believe Dunne wanted to go. Hughes has been pretty straight down the line regarding the club and transfers in his time here. He is on a knife edge with many fans and I dont think he would be so stupid to put one over a player many see as a legend.

I do not normally stand up for hughes however

I can not see how he could allow anyone to leave before their replacement was in place and he actually said this was the case.

and for the record I believe the only loyalty in football is the loyalty shown by the fans and no multi millionaire footballer should ever get a loyalaty bonus.

and I find it hard to belive anyone would use the term legend to a technically flawed centre half imho

just back off holiday so i missed dunne transfer but didnt he hold out for/or get a loyalty payment which would more than compensate for lack of testimonial and i am sure villa will be paying him 50 ish k a week so lifes not been to unkind

The indisputable facts are

1. Dunne is a Villa player
2. Mark Hughes is Manager of Manchester City F.C. the greatest football club in all the world.

I believe Richard Dunne. He was our player of the year four years running, and an honourable man. If you believe him to be a liar, I think you are out of order.

I believe our manager and think you are out of order for suggesting that I am out of order. I am glad Dunne has gone, not good enough for the level we want to be playing at.

Bye bye Dunne, you did ok and got paid very well for it. you received a nice nig pay off and have gone to another club where you win the lottery every week.
