Hughes OUT

I havent changed my mind, still Hughes out, weve been 'up' for the last 2 big games, but it'll be back to default very soon.

thank you for your confidence in our team, your interest is noted.

sorry to be miserable but Im judging it on the majority of games this last 18 months, I still dont think MH has what it takes to get us where we want to go. In other words Im not fickle, 2 wins doesnt change my mind.

Im saying this in reply to someone saying us Hughes outers are fickle.

i honestly can't fathom this whole Hughes out thing.

he's doing an amazing job on every front. the whole shape of the club is just awesome. he conducts himself in brilliant fashion, he has a very favourable good to bad transfer ratio, better than most i'd say. everyone was slating the likes of bellamy and dejong. he's shipped out the dross and loaned those with question marks over them. and so far he's keeping an enormous squad happy. oh and our points tally isn't too bad.

thank god we didn't go after a mourinho, what a disaster that "could" have been.

I've always backed Hughes. I don't see anything that he has done that merits his sacking.

That aside, I, and lots of other supporters on here, remember the days of Swales when we were sacking managers left right and centre, which ultimately led us to the 3rd tier of English football. We had, was it 5 managers in one season! Whatever the number, it was a farce.

Anyway, the point I'm making is I think a manager needs time. It is probably a reaction to all the comings and goings we have had over the past 20 years or so. All those managers coming and going did nothing for us apart from take us, ultimately, to places like Blackpool and Colchester!

We had financial restrictions, in house political skullduggery, I remember all that, but in all those years of strife, and let's remember the emotional stress of life in the 3rd division, I yearned for a bit of stability.

Hopefully, stabilty is now the order of the day. And nothing would leave me more depressed than if we start sacking managers again, like we used to, because a couple of results don't go our way.

There is'nt too much to be depressed about at the moment. A semi final, 6th in the league, an improving team, and for the first time in decades, real hope that this will be our year. Maybe it will be, maybe it won't, who knows, but I for one appreciate the measured attitude of the people running the club. They are taking the long term view, and that suits me just fine.

The short term view has left us in the shit for decades. Let's go with the flow, and if we lose or draw a few games along the way, so what, it is a definate improvement on anything we have seen for 30 years.

You must miss a lot watching all your games on glichey internet streams, because the games I've seen even the default hasn't been that far wide of the mark.

Admit it, we're getting better and better all the time.

Hughes outers...sssshhhhhhhhh aah!

I actually watch them live on my plasma TV :-) nearly all prem games are on live over here. (Foxtel)

The games against Hull/Brum etc etc suggest otherwise

I hope were getting better mate, I really do, I dont care who our mgr is as long as were winning and playing good footie. If MH can make us a massive top club then I'll be happy, but my opinion is, he cant. Im happy to see where we are at the end of January.

the question is ... how many games has hughes lost in all competitions? 1!
how can you sack a manager that has lost 1 game, and got you to the semi-finals?
think about it ffs.

Chelsea did it with Ranieri to bring in Jose and at that time they were already a top 4 club.

I'm more than prepared to back whoever our manager is all the way but everyone has got to have their own opinion on things otherwise what would the point of this forum be?

I'm with the Hughes out brigade (even though the last 2 matches we've been magnificent). I thought we rode our luck against Chelsea at times but on the whole deserved the win. Its now about how we react against playing the shite. The next 2 games are Bolton and Sunderland.

I'm getting deja vu now cos i'm sure we were in this situation before where these next 2 games should be 6points on the board..

No excuses.

Hughes Out!! 3 days against 18 months. Same old mistakes week in week out, he's not good enough simple as that

Indeed! the mind boggles!

Great signings and yet still poor results and performances.

First semi since '81...£200+ spent I would think he would get us further than anywhere we've been in the last 30 years. Let's wait til we win something before chirping up with 'oh we're in a semi so i've got a semi'

1 defeat fair enough but far too many draws from winning positions against shit teams.
