Re: not long left for hughes

He is a hard faced fucker I will give him that

I have always believed that he rose too far and too fast, a spell with a championship club would have made him a far better manager in my opinion, City was always a bridge too far for him

No class. No intelligence. No credibility.

Yep that sums Hughesy up at the moment.

The problem is Fernandes has made a rod for his own back, by waxing lyrical about how good Hughes is, and how he needs time. As usual though, Hughes is making excuses, and trying to put some kind of bizarre, positive spin on it, with comments like "it can't get any worse", "not many other people were queuing up for the job when I took it", and "I need more time, the club needs stability".

double agent hughes will get his win at ot and take a bow

Blackburn went to OT and won last season. QPR should approach that game with an attacking mentality. They have nothing to lose from doing that, and need the points. Putting everybody behind the ball, and playing for a 0-0, will just be suicide.

Looking at the way they defended against Southampton who tore them to shreds time and time again, I can't see anything but a hammering for them. The only glimmer of hope is if they do indeed sack him beforehand and get 'Arry installed.

Awful piece of journalism isn't it?

To be fair to Winter though, I think he has tried on a few occasions to make ammends for that piece. I find him pretty fair towards us these days.

Mr Winter has penned a beautiful piece about the Hughes debacle, and what makes it appealing to an older football fan is his simple referral to principle.

Arab money may well make the eyes of supporters of Man City glister but with the absence of a proper sense of value, the wealth will not succeed in putting a proper team on the pitch... a team that will have any semblance of a cohesive unit.

Winter points out that Hughes is an esteemed, young British manager. He is surely right in that assessment and those who approve of Mancini's appointment are the X-factor element of modern football.

Cheap, insconsequential, toothless and unworthy;that is my best description of Man City and their rabid, deluded seekers of glory.

But it will elude them and the rich Arab.

Lo.... it is written.

Although I agree about the glory seeking bit: seek and ye shall find.
