I remember Hughes as a player at ManU and Chelsea, and he was a rather pedestrian plodder. No surprise then that he has turned into a mediocre manager who can't work with strangers so he takes his taffia with him everywhere he goes.

Think for a minute (maybe a little longer) and take a calculator and accumulate all the money he spent on signing fees at Blackburn & City & Fulham & QPR. Most of those players were over-valued and over-paid and clubs have taken or will take a loss when they are cleared out. So the answer on the calculator is a really big number (more than the GDP of most African countries).

Think for a minute about all those TV interviews and press conferences where he started every answer with "well obviously......" Signs of such an arrogant person, its no wonder he will get little sympathy from anyone in Blackburn or Manchester or West London. I don't think anyone will be calling him Sparky for long now. Also I have little sympathy for Tony Fernandes at QPR who treated Neil Warnock very shabbyly to make way for Sparky.

You obviously dont remember Hughes as a player at all. Ridiculous statement.

He was an excellent player.

Before my time Hughes as a player, but I get the feeling he was a very good player but never really a great in ability or goals, he almost always played between 30-40 games in his prime but not once did he scored 20 league goals in a season.
When he went to Barca he was a disaster and when loaned out to Bayern he flopped there two.He came back and won titles with Baconface but you kind of get the feeling Hughes did n't quite achieve what he expected of himself on a personal level anyway.
That is what I put his impatience as manager and walking out on fulham down to the belief he needs to prove himself as the best and belief that he is at that level in the first place.

Can't believe the statement above!

Love him or hate him happy Arry will have QPR playing decent football and climing up the table rapidly in no time at all!

Hughes has finally been found out for what he is: A shocking manager who can't set up a team at all, is completely clueless defensively, and has an ego the size of an elephant. Simply put he is a truly crap manager! I couldn't stand him when he was in charge of us and and I haven't seen anything since to help me change my mind. Good riddance to him and his Welsh Tafia!

Absolute rubbish.
Look at what Redknapp done with spurs, they would have got relegated now they're a top 6 team.

0 wins in 12 games says it all.

Bentwatt gets to run another club into the ground whilst his journo loving mates rub his shaft and suck his saggy plumbs. So the next premier league fairytale begins....

Redknapp isn't a good manager either.

Bournemouth - Relegation and money problems.
West Ham - Relegation.
Southampton - Relegation and money problems.
Pompey - Relegation and money problems.
Spurs - Levy was in control.

Good man manager but would send a club into administration to sign a triffic player.

Hughes as a player was great
Hughes as a manager was a disaster for us and QPR
Hughes as a bloke strikes me as a ****

I dislike Redknapp as much as anybody but this is a bit of silly argument that keeps cropping up, Bournemouth are a small club so relegation and money problems is something they were always likely to have, he kept them up for two years after winning the third division. Whilst all the other clubs have had history of at various times over-extending themselves and having money problems. I was n't aware that he was ever employed as Chairman or CEO so ultimately it is bit harsh to blame him for clubs' financial problems.

Aye, I would rather we had Hughes at City as player than we ever did as a manager.
Scored some cracking volleys and wasn't too shabby with his head either.
