Think for a minute (maybe a little longer) and take a calculator and accumulate all the money he spent on signing fees at Blackburn & City & Fulham & QPR. Most of those players were over-valued and over-paid and clubs have taken or will take a loss when they are cleared out. So the answer on the calculator is a really big number (more than the GDP of most African countries).
Think for a minute about all those TV interviews and press conferences where he started every answer with "well obviously......" Signs of such an arrogant person, its no wonder he will get little sympathy from anyone in Blackburn or Manchester or West London. I don't think anyone will be calling him Sparky for long now. Also I have little sympathy for Tony Fernandes at QPR who treated Neil Warnock very shabbyly to make way for Sparky.
You obviously dont remember Hughes as a player at all. Ridiculous statement.
He was an excellent player.
Before my time Hughes as a player, but I get the feeling he was a very good player but never really a great in ability or goals, he almost always played between 30-40 games in his prime but not once did he scored 20 league goals in a season.
When he went to Barca he was a disaster and when loaned out to Bayern he flopped there two.He came back and won titles with Baconface but you kind of get the feeling Hughes did n't quite achieve what he expected of himself on a personal level anyway.
That is what I put his impatience as manager and walking out on fulham down to the belief he needs to prove himself as the best and belief that he is at that level in the first place.
