Hughes sacked

For what it's worth I remember him as a great finisher, always in the right position, a bit like Hernandez, but not a patch on Aguero for example in terms of overall talent. Even then he was a twat, though, one of those guys you love to hate unless he is in your team, a bit like Bellamy and many others.

Anyway, now I can hope QPR stay up, always liked them. Tough job though, around 38 points from 26 matches. Almost a win every other game.

I remember Hughes as a player at ManU and Chelsea, and he was a rather pedestrian plodder. No surprise then that he has turned into a mediocre manager who can't work with strangers so he takes his taffia with him everywhere he goes.

You obviously dont remember Hughes as a player at all. Ridiculous statement.

He was an excellent player.
Aye, I would rather we had Hughes at City as player than we ever did as a manager.
Scored some cracking volleys and wasn't too shabby with his head either.

If I could predict football results accurately then I'd be sending you a postcard from Barbados. He signed some good players in the summer and, for whatever reason, they haven't gelled in time.

You serious Peoffrey??? He signed 14 players (I think) and some/many of those are toward the end of their playing days. He signed Green and then fucked him off, the man is clusless. If you buy enough players one or two are going to look half decent (though at QPR I don't think any have)... Johnson, Zamora, Park... Rodney Marsh on talksport yesterday summed it up perfectly. "If you look at his signings... they're crap".

It is a pretty basic assumption in Footballing terms that you cannot take a team and change it on such a massive level and expect success precisely what he did. He is one of the most egotistical managers I think I have ever seen. He goes around in a bubble, protected by his Taffia really is shite and the Premiership will be a much better place without him.

Also was the question about haow many of the players he signed have Kia J.... as their agent (as does he)?

I wonder if QPR will get slated in the media as much as we did when we got rid of him, doubt it now that our ARRY is in charge.

4 points out of 36 says it was justified.

Redknapp isn't a good manager either.

Bournemouth - Relegation and money problems.
West Ham - Relegation.
Southampton - Relegation and money problems.
Pompey - Relegation and money problems.
Spurs - Levy was in control.

Good man manager but would send a club into administration to sign a triffic player.
This is just a blatant lie.

Bournemouth - got them promoted, stayed up for two years, then relegated. So back where he started - like Joe Royle, who most City fans think did a good job.
West Ham - UEFA Cup qualification, NOT relegated under Redknapp.
Southampton - perpetual relegation candidates, couldn't save them.
Pompey - FA Cup win, NOT relegated under Redknapp.
Spurs - if Levy was in control, why were they in the relegation places before Redknapp? Yes, Redknapp gets too much credit for the turnaround considering they finished 5th the season before, but you can't attribute it to Levy or it would never have dived so low in the first place. Champions League qualification (x1); 4th place finish (usually good enough for Champions League qualification).

You can't criticise Harry for the money troubles these clubs have experienced. He asked for the money, it's the board or chairman's job to say no. Would he have achieved as much without the money? No, but that's his job as manager, spend the money to buy players who'll do well and he has for the most part.

Better manager than Hughes by far.

or does it seem as though Twitcher has been up to his old tricks again. Leak a story about Paul Stretford being in advanced talks with Ukraine about the Tax Dodger taking over, when we all know he wont move away from Sandbanks. All the while knowing that Tony Fernandes will pull the plug on Hughes in case he loses the said Twitcher. Disgraceful way to get yourself a job. All the morals of a Rat. Or maybe it's just me jumping to conclusions

Reckon that's exactly what happened.

Talk about the frying pan and the fire: Hughes/Joorbachian made Fernandes sign players he didn't need on massive contracts (e.g Cesar). Now he's been sucked in by Redknapp & Stretford instead.

The funniest thing about this was how Vinny half scuppered the plan on MOTD. They show QPR losing, the 'We Want Harry' banner, and Harry's all: "No, no Mark's still in a job, I can't talk about that, wouldn't be fair." So far, all going to Harry's script.

Then Vinny says: "Not to do Harry out of a job, but Mark's a great manager." So Redknapp has to agree with him. V. funny.

Problem for us is now Joorbachian, with a lot more time on his hands. Never a good thing for Tevez/us.

I'd be delighted to know how you can recall (possibly) how many players he signed in the summer. It's like you spend more time watching who he is bringing in over City and I genuinely don't understand what your agenda is.

Hughes is a much better Manager than Redknapp.

Absolute rubbish.
Look at what Redknapp done with spurs, they would have got relegated now they're a top 6 team.

0 wins in 12 games says it all.

Not entirely true though is it? Yes, they were in a very poor run of form at the beginning of that season when Redknapp took over but Spurs were already a very good team that had finished 5th twice in the three previous seasons. They weren't relegation material like you're suggesting.

However, I agree that Redknapp will more likely do a better job at QPR than Hughes managed. 0 wins in 12 games is truly abysmal considering some of the players they've got.
