Hughes sacked

Re: Am I an old cynic

If QPR do go down Harry will blame Hughes for the players he signed. If they stay up of course, Twitcher will take all the plaudits going. Bent ba$tard is Harry, as we all know.

Re: Am I an old cynic

That along with his obvious implicit (oxymoron?) declaration of interest in the job on MotD just shows how unscrupulous he is!

I continued to think he needed a bit more time (less than a calendar year in the job) but no league win since the season started and no away win at all has been his downfall. Football is a results game and he's not been earning them. This is the sacking that could do him some real damage but I think if he swallows his pride and takes over a Championship club without his usual crew of Boyos behind him then he can rebuild his reputation. Sam Allardyce wasn't too proud to step in at West Ham. Now look at them.

Redknapp is a very astute replacement on a 2 and a half season deal perhaps.
No one could question the robustness of your views on people's character. You clearly assume a position and stick to it.

If only your judgement was better you'd have a winning formula.

For me, Hughes was the worst manager in the league, bar none. Utterly, utterly, utterly useless and incompetent in every respect. If I had a chip shop, I would not let him wrap.

I seriously wonder if QPR would have been any worse if they didn't bother with a manager and just said "sort it out amongst yourselves lads". They could only have been 4 points worse couldn't they.

A complete and total moron.

or does it seem as though Twitcher has been up to his old tricks again. Leak a story about Paul Stretford being in advanced talks with Ukraine about the Tax Dodger taking over, when we all know he wont move away from Sandbanks. All the while knowing that Tony Fernandes will pull the plug on Hughes in case he loses the said Twitcher. Disgraceful way to get yourself a job. All the morals of a Rat. Or maybe it's just me jumping to conclusions

Never thought for a minute he was on his way to the Ukraine! I've always thought CYNICISM IS NOT FAR FROM REALISM!

I remember Hughes as a player at ManU and Chelsea, and he was a rather pedestrian plodder. No surprise then that he has turned into a mediocre manager who can't work with strangers so he takes his taffia with him everywhere he goes.

Think for a minute (maybe a little longer) and take a calculator and accumulate all the money he spent on signing fees at Blackburn & City & Fulham & QPR. Most of those players were over-valued and over-paid and clubs have taken or will take a loss when they are cleared out. So the answer on the calculator is a really big number (more than the GDP of most African countries).

Think for a minute about all those TV interviews and press conferences where he started every answer with "well obviously......" Signs of such an arrogant person, its no wonder he will get little sympathy from anyone in Blackburn or Manchester or West London. I don't think anyone will be calling him Sparky for long now. Also I have little sympathy for Tony Fernandes at QPR who treated Neil Warnock very shabbyly to make way for Sparky.

Tell you what you go away for a couple of days and poor Les gets sacked its a such a tragedy. Looks like the Irish couldn't even be arsed to report it, Irish Times and radio stations f*ck all. Well Les looks like you've been found out like your old pal elephant man, no more big jobs.

If I could predict football results accurately then I'd be sending you a postcard from Barbados. He signed some good players in the summer and, for whatever reason, they haven't gelled in time.

He was anything but. He might be a clueless rag twat but he was a fucking good player.

You obviously dont remember Hughes as a player at all. Ridiculous statement.

He was an excellent player.
