Hughes Tatics today

howard webb im a celebrity didnt help the game .Hes on sky sports and feels the need to call a captain over to have a word with tugay when he should just send him off . Clearly doing sam a favour by letting him know next time his player is off . Just knew he was on telly and loved the attention for me . Stephen ireland one bad tackle yellow card . You say cant blame ref but it doesnt help does it its happened a few times this year against teams like wigan ,borough ,blackburn

Howard Webb has been really really poor this season, his 'performances' remind my of Rob Styles.

For me, Mark Halsey has been head and shoulders above everyone else, reffed us v Everton exceptionally well and did the same with Liverpool v Newcastle today.

ok mate, just for the record, i dont hate hughes because of his rag connections

i hate, hate HATE his 'brand' of football.

Once hughes gets sacked in Jan, i will be back to normal :)

I don't think that will happen in Jan.

So you were not impressed with his brand of football against Hull and several other home games? I don't understand that tbh.

I hope he will win you round ;)

Was good against Chelsea too, but the suited cunts at the FA totally undermined him.

Apart from Kompany our midfield did not function today.Ireland and SWP who are normally our two most consitant players just didn't turn up today. What was noticeable was the fact we need more of
a presence at the back. I lost count of the times their two forwards got the better of Dunne and Onuha/Richards, particulary in the air. We definately need a big commanding centre half and more bite in midfield.
Still a great comeback and for once they showed good heart(pity it took them until we were 2-0 down!}

Well I'm glad the "really poor" Webb missed that tackle by Stevie today if he didn't we would never have got that point today.

Webb is easily the best ref in the league. then again its all about opinions I suppose

I really think we are now beginning to turn the corner & Mark Hughes influence is starting to show.
Why?

He named the best starting 11 he could today and I dont think anybody could argue otherwise.
I think everybody could argue otherwise

We didnt play the best, but neither did blackburn - they did however get 2 scrappy, battling Bolton goals - typical of Big Sam and thank god we dont watch that every week.
We do watch that every week, long ball, hopeful football. Exactly the same and their gaols weren't scrapping IMO, just piss poorly defended

Bringing vassell's battling qualities and the skill and quality of sturridge made the difference.
I didn't see Vassell get a touch and Sturridge should get far more starts than he does.

Everybody always slates hughes on here for his subs and tatics not having an impact.
I think you will find they were playing to save his job, I am no master of body language, but did you see him celebrate the equaliser?

Well today it did, 2-0 and we got a draw thanks to Sturridge, Robinho and Hughes.
We got draw....against the team at the bottom of the table....have a wank.

Feels like a win and proves we are not a soft touch on the road anymore (hopefully).
Feels more like a draw to me and a stuffy one point

Is anyone else pleased??
Well I'm not...no. (Perhaps you guessed that)

So your agrument is he's good because he should have sent one of our palyers off and didn't... because he missed it?

Webb was the best ref last season, but he showed when he went to the Euro's he's a poor ref, needed security around him after he reffed his only match before being sent home.

I think Halsey is by far the best ref this season, regardless of how he treats our club, because that really isn't the main factor in deciding whos best.

Well he played the team seemingly everyone on here wanted to see. Not a great performance but we showed the spirit we have lacked up to now. I'd say that result has done more for my confidence than if we'd battered them 5-0. We are toughening up a bit. It's the close one's we have to be winning if we want European football.

The armchair cocksuckers on here are starting to annoy me severely, this was a hardfought valuable Away point .
You won't see any teams go to Ewood this season and stroke it about at their leisure ,playing champagne football and come away with 3 pts, aint gonna happen.

For the record we showed desire, character and commitment to come away with a well deserved draw.
