Unconvincing and uncomfortable.
It was like they'd only just met. Negredo made a difference. All you can say is we won and somehow kept a clean sheet. Dire to watch. Glad we seem to have a free kick specialist!

Hull did really well, I bet they're gutted not to have come away with anything especially as they could have easily been 2-0 up in the first half.

Between this and Cardiff we really seem to be having problems and I think it's the combination of a high line and no dedicated defensive midfielders players (anyone else notice Yaya increasingly sat deeper as the match went on to provide protection). Our make shift defense is having to deal with much more than they are used to and I actually think Lescott, Nasty and Kolarov ended up doing alright when you consider that.

Oh, and is Aguero carrying a knock or just in a bit shit run of form? I think he's been one of our worst players over these last two matches.

Most of these comments made at half time but although things improved in the second half, much of the criticism from first half applied.

Nervy start. Too many missed passes, particularly Kolarov, and some shaky defending. Also too many just not gathering the ball in.

Really needing some leadership out there and more composure. Ball retention was below our best.

Poor start to game by Fern but he got better; Kolarov pretty awful throughout but a couple of good tackles near the end.

Pressing just not there often enough, so too comfortable for Hull.

Still conceding too many soft fouls.

I like Negredo and he definitely gave us some impetus and energy.

Definitely seems that confidence is fragile and the team are adjusting to what Manny wants. We are going to have to be patient, like it or not.

One good thing, at least MP may now realise that Negredo is a better option over Dzeko....apart from that fairly disappointing performance, hanging on in the last 10 minutes until Ya Ya scored the 2nd, poor passing, Joe Hart diod well though, he looked commanding again in the box. I don't know what to make of us so far this season, I was expecting a lot of pace up front and in midfield but we looked pedestrian for periods today
