Hull or Barcodes...

Newcastle, well, they're just comedy gold. Like a really bad soap opera, it's compulsive viewing. And somehow, knowing full well it's going nowhere, but will never end, just makes it all the more enjoyable. The actors will be replaced, the performances will get worse and worse. Then, just when you're getting bored, it'll look like something important is about to happen - it ends up as moronic, farcical drama. Over and over, each time more satisfyingly cringeworthy than the last. Even though you know how crap it all is, it's fun to watch, fun to take the piss out of it. And it's even more fun to take the piss out of the poor sods who take it seriously.

You have just written Gary James's new book "City in the 90s" in one paragraph.

heh....when the opportunity arises to laugh at people going through the kind of shit you used to have to deal with, you have to savour every moment.

U****d are 4th and only a cricket score with Arsenal losing will see them finish 3rd. They can't finish below 4th either. They need to respect the situation by playing a strong team against Hull and trying to win the match. If Van Gaal does play some kids then he should have a strong bench.

I can't see Hull doing it. West Ham are very poor at the moment and their match against Newcastle might be horrible.

It might also come down the 12th man thing. Both are at home but the Barcodes have a far more vocal support than Hull, and when your back's against the wall (which it undoubtedly is for both of them) the atmosphere from the crowd could be vital.

The shocking thing would be Hull getting relegated, Steve Bruce sacked and then appointed the Newcastle job.

Would leave the league with a crap club and manager.

Having watched Football Focus (I know, I am a sad old woman) and the love in for Bruce I want Hull to go down!! They showed Carver's win rate and percentage but then when they showed Bruce's they didn't bother showing the percentage.............. mind you he has had 20 games, no wins and 4 draws and 16 losses whereas Carver had 19 games 2 wins and 4 draws and 13 losses. But of course Bruce got all the praise because he was an ex-rag player!!

Talk about media bias blimey even my glass half full philosophy goes out of the window when it comes to the blooming media!!

So from being reasonably neutral I now want Hull to be relegated!!
