What on earth did Bolton do to deserve that rugby tackle on their keeper in 2012 to stand then?
That game was bent as fuck (any game with Sorensen in nets was allegedly) but why they seemed to want Bolton to go down I've no idea. Perhaps Gartside had pissed people at the PL off.

I've posted on here before about Lee Mason, who declares himself a Bolton fan, being allowed to referee a game at The Swamp (his real team) involving QPR. He gave that infamous penalty when an offside Ashley Young dived and then gave a dubious red to Shaun Derry Because of that dive. As a declared Bolton fan, there was an obvious conflict of interest in him refereeing a game involving their relegation rivals and Mike Riley got some stick for that when he gave his talk at our place soon after.

Maybe trying to even that red card + penalty out? I've no love for Bolton and if anything that goal helped us by keeping QPR safe regardless of our result but it never sat right with me, I've even asked Walters about it at a sponsors do in Dublin and he can't believe it stood.
Foy was the ref in that game and he's one who sneaks under the radar but is worthy of closer scrutiny. Put him alongside Webb & Mason and you have three of the four names that allegedly appeared in the dossier sent to Mike Riley around Xmas 2011.

Just seen that Atkinson is in charge of the Barcodes' match.

must have been after sending Kompany off for the phantom tackle in the cup derby, surely?

The dossier was done before that I think.

Riley was asked about that and said that they'd shown it to a group of about 100 people (so it was obviously controversial in their eyes) and they'd split four ways between no foul, foul/no card, foul/yellow and foul/red. so only a quarter thought it was a red and another quarter didn't even think it was a foul. So the element of doubt was clearly high. Foy did it again next time he had us, which was the 6-1 at Norwich, when he booked Tevez for diving when he should have given a penalty.

Send the elephant man down.

My sentiments exactly.

Although it would be great if we finish ten points ahead of scum, which means they'd have to lose.

Newcastle to win as well, then.

It would be hilarious seeing Bruce's team win and still be relegated.

Got nothing against Bruce.

He took it in good heart when he got the "Stevie Bruce Is The Elephant Man" chant at the Etihad earlier this year.

Another poster on here sometime ago mentioned that he had met him and he was a perfectly decent bloke who had no problem with City's success.

Yes he is a mediocre manager but I think he is otherwise ok.

Yes it was you.

I just didn't want to reference you in case you thought I was chatting you up.

I'll leave that to Grindr.

I hope hull score early on to shit the Geordie fans up and they will then try to hold on to 0 0 for dear life.
Can see something similar to the scenes at Blackpool if hull are 2 up and Newcastle are losing late on
