It is,but its clearly an issue that isnt going away anytime soon in these backward shitholes......the 4 goals aside,our players (while they shouldnt have to) dealt with it perfectly,their unity and their maturity along with their refusal to be intimidated,while laughing in their neanderthal faces,was the perfect response.

What is beyond sad and incredibly infuriating,is the refusal of the governing bodies to deal with this behaviour with zero tolerance and with the severest of sanctions/punishments.

I don't know how it is best dealt with. Heavy fines, point deductions and stadium bans seem appropriate. I think there should be a system where you get two strikes and you're banned from the next tournament would be worth introducing. It doesn't matter if the majority of fans are fine, some nations have a huge number of fans who continually racially abuse others.

Southgate was quite right though...we don't have our own house in order yet.

As for the game itself, I only watched the first 15/20 minutes and had no idea of the score until this morning. But what I did see of it was dreadful: we have some great players but Southgate's safety-first tactic bores me to a stupor.

I will definitely be giving the next one a miss.

Thought England played really well on the whole and 4-0 was in no way flattering. Hungary gave pretty much all teams a very tough game in the euros and i think it said have only lost 1 of their last 18 games leading up to this one so all in all a very good result for England.
