I just don't think we should get carried away as England fans(I'm sure most wont). The finishing needs to be better.

I think the Maguire, Rice and possibly the Kane goals might have been saved by a better keeper because he got a hand to all of them and didn't have to move much to do it. As for the the 3 dead certs? I assume you mean the Kane ones that were hit right at him. Good positioning but standard saves after that point because they were poor finishes.

Might be a tad harsh on Kane’s goal (point blank header), but it’s clear he wouldn’t make it in the Prem!

Exactly! Unless I expect a tasty head to head discussion, I usually feel like I know what happened as well, if not better, than most of them.

Brains and football have never mixed very well, so I’m not sure why most people think years of getting kicked around would improve that?!

I think Mount is a good player but he shouldn't be a 10 for England, or any side. He's got the same amount of open play assists as Mendy and doesn't score often either. Would think dropping him deeper with one of Rice/Phillips and playing Foden ahead of them would be logical, but Southgate is quite timid in his selections since the WC imo.

I wouldn't play him at all. Talented yes, but not up to international football yet. Flatters to deceive?
