Daft question. For Everton to finish second they would need to beat teams that are better than them and quite often to boot. It would be a incredible achievement. Almost as good as Leicester winning the title.

When it comes to fans of Southgate and this team there is one problem, i cannot think of one team in a tournament ranked higher than England that they have managed to beat.

This team has promise with a decent manager however as of now they are a team that wins against lower opposition and also loses against them.

Lucky draws average opposition knocked out by the first decent team they meet. No team deserves the word great attached to them with that record.
 
Really an excellent professional performance. Well impressed with Sterling and Grealish, Rice is a beast. Great era for the lions.

Nope they are having a very dodgy spell ranked lower then us. I’m actually struggling to think of the last time a England team did tbh. Have to be the biggest underachievers from the so called big nations and some of the lower ones as well in fairness.

I am just going to have to disagree.

I think a semi and a final back to back is brilliant and he’s built a squad that plays for each other.

Yeah he’s not the best tactical manager but he’s achieved more than Bobby Robson… God rest his soul, who was our 2nd greatest for a long time.

Losing on penalties in a final isn’t a failure in my eyes and I’m sure the FA had a target of something like the Semis again, for him

Yeah Bobby got knocked out by a very good team, we will have to disagree. Almost 60 years so I can’t get exited about beating a few average sides and coming back pot less.
