So a 3yr old boy 'escaped' from his house, fully dressed well over 24hrs ago, he has been walking the streets of Scotland and only now there is a 'possible' sighting?

It all seems very odd to me!

I've just woke up from a night shift, are the police still saying 'no crime has been committed'?

I can't begin to imagine what the family are going through

Mikael Kular was last seen going to bed at his home in Ferry Gait, Edinburgh, at 9pm last night.
Police in Edinburgh are appealing for help to trace a three-year-old boy who has gone missing from his home.

Breaking On Sky news now
Did she put him to bed in a beige coat, a jumper, blue jogging bottoms and brown shoes?
This is what the police said he is wearing now, bit unusual that

Somebody has nicked the little lad!

Yeah, but apparently the kid that was seen was wearing a cap and Mikaeel wasn't (supposedly). I really fear for this lad. Even if it isnt an abduction, temperatures in Edinburgh went down to 3C overnight.

It seems fairly obvious that the family haven't told the cops everything. But the cops will know this. How many times do we see apparently grieving parents only to find they were responsible.
He will be with his Dad somewhere far away from Scotland, probably London or Brum

Re: Hunt for missing 3 year old in Edinburgh

Friends of ours had a scare a few years ago with their youngster.

It was a normal morning until they found the front door open and their toddler had gone

Long story short, a motorist stopped her car and was with him at the side of the main road
The lad wanted to drive his car to work like his daddy and apparently was following a bus on the road sat on the back of his toy car
The lady motorist saw him and stopped

Serious question, especially for the blokes on here. If you saw a toddler on the main road on the back of his toy car during rush hour, would you stop or would you carry onwards in case you were accused of being a nonce?

Mate, I used to hesitate in picking up a kid if he/she fell in the playground. It's second nature now to wish you weren't there and not know what to do - purely because of what you may get labeled as, which is a travesty really. In that extreme though, if I saw a kid on a road and it was obvious he was too young to be there, i'd do something about that.
It's a pretty shitty world we live in, and knock on effects are such that people these days have to think twice about things like this, whereas instinct should be to help a child, should he/she need it.

wouldn't even cross my mind that people would think that

a toddler on his own away from adults, i would stay with him/her and call the police
