Funny how everyone turns into Inspector Clouseau when a child goes missing these days...
Ain't it just. All of the world's best football managers come on Bluemoon as well. It's a place of incredible talent.

The main door to the flat has to be activated by pressing a button. It is at a height that a 3 year old would find difficult to use. There is a cctv camera pointed at the front door. I presume the police have the footage from that camera but they haven't got a body so no one will be charged just yet.

If there's been foul play, they won't want to be alerting any suspect they're looking for while there's a chance the child is still alive.

Why wasnt he sleeping in the same room as his sister as usual on this night of all nights?

I thought exactly the same. Why was something, that is usually just routine, different on that night of all nights?

I smell something fishy with this whole story.

Perhaps the sister had been having nightmares and wanted to sleep with mum?

Of course this is a possibility. And I suspect the press are to blame for clouding the waters but we are told he would normally sleep in the same room as his sister however on the night he went missing he wasnt. It could be fairly common for that to happen, it could be a cruel coincidence as well.

So do you think he is still alive ? I don't. He is no longer at the flat but sadly he aint alive and he wasn't when he left.

What makes you think that? I only know the basics really

think the only chance he may be alive if hes been asaulted or injured and left in the woods but its getting to long now for a todler to survive this length of time, me i think hes been murderd now prob buried somewhere

I only know what's been on the news but nothing adds up. I do not believe he has been abducted, how did someone get in to the flat without the mum knowing ?
How did a child wander off, especially through the outside door and if he had the cops would have broadcast that loud and clear.
Previous experience says he has met a sad end.

TIMELINE

2100: Mikaeel is last seen going to bed at home in Ferry Gait Crescent, Edinburgh

0715: Mikaeel's mother discovers he is missing from his bed
Can this be the whole story? A toddler went to bed by himself at 9pm and was not checked on until 7.15 the following morning?!

He is 3ft tall. Do we know whether he is 3 years and 1 day or 3 years 320+ days? (not heard of an imminent birthday)

What's that got to do with anything mate?

I fear this could be another Shannon Matthews type case. Some member of the family will be involved.
A child of almost 4 has a lot more capabilities than a child just turned 3. There hasn't been any mention that I've seen of "4 next month" or anything like that. No idea how old a 3ft toddler would be myself. Anyway, I also fear you are right in that it looks, from the outside, like someone within the family has taken him for whatever reason or purpose. Hope the kid is alright.

According to reports he was unwell and hadn't attended nursery the day before. He apparently was allowed to sleep on his own because of this.

Re: Hunt for missing 3 year old in Edinburgh

I find it difficult to believe that 'murderers' are walking the streets of Scotland on the off chance a 3yr old boy comes there way in the early hours of the morning.

I find it even more difficult to believe(similar to the McCann case) that some one would break in and abduct someone.

I feel whatever has happened, and its not looking good, would have been a tragic accident. Ie gone wandering or something happened in the house and the family are trying to cover it up.

Or hopefully he'll be with his dad somewhere
