My experience in the NHS (Particularly in the last 5 years) means I wouldn't be completely surprised if there was elements of truth to it.

I’ve googled it for a laugh. Took two seconds to find out they banned Christmas decorations in some areas of the hospital during and post covid that were highly sensitive to infection as decorations can’t be easily sterilised. An entirely sensible and obvious explanation.

I personally know several Muslims and they all give each other Christmas presents and have a tree up in their houses lol.

I’m sure there’s some hard liner ultra conservative Muslims out there who are somehow “offended” by Christmas but it’ll be an insignificant minority.

I also do a lot of work in a northern town that has a very large Muslim population and given the “true” meaning of Christmas has long been lost, they’re the same as anyone. It’s an excuse to eat like a pig, have a couple of weeks off work watching shit telly and spoil your kids.

No town in the country is “cancelling” Christmas because it offends Muslims hahaha. This muppet on the Isle of Man has read some made up shite on Facebook or flat out invented this story, it’s sad as fuck.

Jesus was not born on the 25th of December, Roman Christians decided that he was and they decided that 400 years after he died because it was a convenient date. That only happened because until that point Christianity was actually illegal. And let's not forget..... Jesus himself was Jewish.

I was up the hospital with my daughter as alder hey were over 10 days ago and the ward manager was telling us in the waiting room. Not sure if you have been but as the Isle of Man is so small, you get to kinda know people really easy or at least recognize each other on greeting basis. The hospital were approached as someone was offended by the idea of a Christmas tree being put up but it was swiftly dealt with as over here we have started getting a few over but we are lucky compared to the fucking shit show of the UK and the state of it at the moment. Not everything that happens on the Isle of Man makes mainstream news though as we are hidden away and long may it continue! The phrase Halloween is frowned upon over here as in our native language you call it Hop Tu Naa! Local police also allow you to give the occasional peado a fucking smack in the jail as well or when you see them out rather than hiding them away.

“A few over” ? If I went out of my house now and found 10 refugees I’d be happy to bet you money that none of them would be offended by a Christmas Tree. Same goes for any British Muslim I know.
