Hurricane Ian hit Florida Wednesday 28th Sep !

Halifax is a fantastic city, great place for your GD to be studying. You should get yourself over there! On a good day you can get to St Johns in less than 5 hrs to spend a few days with the lovely, slightly out there Newfoundlanders, and then it's a short hop onto Nova Scotia.
When she told me she was going to Halifax the first thing she said was ‘Gran, when you come over we can go to PEI and explore Anne’s land.’ She knows my bucket list has included PEI nearly all my life!
She loves it, this is her third year.

It’s a bit windy in Clearwater this morning, still warm though, calm before the storm?
Nice and calm here. Although I am only say 5 miles from the eastern edge of the inner bay, I'm 40 miles from the Gulf itself So that offers me a little more protection than Clearwater and St Pete gets, if like last tile thenstorm went up the coast and not across land.
In the process of moving the garden furniture into the shed, I'm all ready stocked up on water and cans of beans etc. Got a fair few candles, batteries and phone chargers in case we lose the lecky.
Going to Orlando airport tomorrow to pick my daughter up.
