They basically restructured the entire playing side of the club - is the quickest way of saying it.

There was a change of board, management and the entire squad was released.

In came the new management and team - on MUCH less than the squad was earning last year.

But instead of being older ex-pros towards the end of their careers there is a mix of young players who have been released by league clubs, and some from other non league clubs.

That mixed with the passing football has inspired to make them where they are - no more hoofing it to the big man

Well at least one Hyde fan was there on Monday. Check out 1:01.below..know who he is? Hope he enjoyed his pie and the game....two great Sky Blue wins in two days and well done Hyde for that great result at Bower Field

Great to see Hyde getting so much support on here, i'm a big Hyde and City fan as many of you on here can probably see from my twitter. Ian I recognise you off SM, i'm JuniorBlue on there too (previously Mr.MCFC) and I'm sure I will have bumped into you at Ewen Fields at some point!

Maine Road are also at home (to Winsford) on the 14th if you can't make it to Hyde (13th v 14th before this weekends ties)

Keep it up. Grew up in Hyde and used to go with my mates before i was old enough to go to Main Road. Still got some good memorys from Ewen Fields. Think its great there doing well.

Hopefully they can keep it up and get promotion. I know it's been a hard slog but with City and Hyde both top of there leagues im a happy man.

Will try and get down to a game soon. Are there plans to do anymore games for £5. Might get a few more in that way ;)

As far as I am aware, the league rules say they can only do it twice a season - as it would be unfair on season ticket holders etc.

If I do see or hear anything I will definitely post it here.

On that note - I heard that MOSSLEY FC are offering a similar deal this weekend, but I can't find anything on their site.

saturday game at moss lane altrincham 3pm kickoff. altrincham v colwyn bay;same league as hyde utd; alty now going for play offs ;as hyde to far in front.-all wythenshawe and sale blues welcome. 1-6 at colwyn bay ground.

connor jennings is a very good player, played him a couple of times back when we was 16 and he played well but i kept him quiet thankfully.
 
Just a friendly post bump - as the dissapointment of yesteday fades and we move onto Wigan away, for those who can't get to Wigan and fancy some football;

Sadly the kick off is 3pm - the BBC have typed it wrong, I think it was originally a Monday game, so they may have copied the details from the original details.

Yeah, it has been a disappointing few days. It started for me with Ramsbottom 3 Maine Road FC 1, then the Derby, then Liverpool and now a bus has crashed into The Bull's Head - my absolute favourite pre- and post- match drinking place....all in one week!

Sod's law that when City haven't got a home game for two successive Saturday's, both Hyde & Road are home on both occasions, otherwise I'd be getting up to Ewen Fields. It was good to see Hyde fan Tom at our place last home game.....spotted pie-eating at approx 1.00 mins on this video:

Not had official confirmation the Hyde game is going ahead, but not aware of any pitch concerns

Until the re-arranged game with Corby today - I was heading over to Brantingham Road.

It's only a 20 minute walk from where I live, and yet every time City have been away either Hyde have been at home or Maine Road have been away. I WILL GET THERE THIS SEASON :D

Sorry, I had already left for the game.

It was on yes - ended 2-2 on at Hyde Ice Rink :D
