Hyde United

Am I allowed to post the streaker pix? I went with Scall and a few blues, was a good crack. Went bangla city for a ruby after and unfortunately the Indian Elvis wasn't on.

I know City are at home this weekend - so I won't be going to Hyde.

They are playing in the FA Cup qualifying 3rd round - and they are offering a prize of two tickets to some lucky tweeter.

Apparently all you have to do is 'retweet' the following http://twitter.com/#!/hydefclive/status/124532349156343808

I'm not sure if it would get you into forum trouble lol

If anyone however did want to see the pathetic streaker fallback into the stand - there is a video link on the Hyde forum http://yfrog.com/jq3d3qz

5th November 2011, 3pm, Hyde v Histon, Blue Square Bet North

For anyone who fancies catching some non-league action whilst City are away this weekend - 2nd in the Blue Square north, and still unbeaten at home in the league

Directions - http://www.hydefc.co.uk/ewen-fields/

Admission is £10 adults - £5 consessions - £2 under 16s

They can't do any special deals for season tickets as they are only allowed to do that a couple of times a season.

Hopefully we don't get a repeat of the streaker - the worlds WORST streaker :) http://yfrog.com/jq3d3qz

still not had a refund from Biqnell after he took £20 via paypal for the sale of 4 Hyde Third team shirts, upset but since heard that Mark no longer works at Hyde FC... true or false?

I would suggest contacting the club direct - they might be able to help you - http://www.hydefc.co.uk/contact/

I don't work for the club in anyway - I just go to their home games when City aren't at home.

City Youth v Corby at Ewen Fiels

Hello All,

Just to let you all know that seeing as your not playing Saturday, why not make a visit to watch Hyde Fc, we're playing at home against Vauxhall Motors.

We are still top of the Blue Square North by 6 points but could end being 9 clear by the end of this weekend.

Come and support your Elite Development Squad's ground sharing club.

Please go to www.hydefc.co.uk for more information.

Thank you

Just a quick question. Does anyone know how Hyde will go on once the City deal ends?
Far as I'm aware it was Cook who set it up with their former secretary.

There's a nice little article from the Hyde club secretary Andy McAnulty that touches on that point.http://www.footballfocus.biz/FootballMags/FF21-2011/FootballFocus21_2011.html

It seems the club are already planning beyond the City deal - if we do get the planning permission for the new complex then I don't think the club will need to continue the aggreement, but might decide to :)

HYDE v VAUXHALL this Saturday at 3pm if anyone is interested

Admission is £10 for adults, £5 for Concessions and £2 for under 15s

Good luck to Hyde on Saturday. Always was a wonderful non-league ground, but now really smart after the City investment.

If you can't make Hyde you could always take a place in the less presigious 'Leaky Creaky Stand' at Brantingham Road for:

Maine Road FC v Stone Dominoes

3:00pm K.O. £5 (£3 concessions, accompanied children free)

City colours very welcome.

Get a flavour of it:

I love going to Maine Road games as well - went to 5 or 6 last season.

Do you guys still have the really good keeper from last year?

I thought the name change was because Hyde United FC went under (wound up by HMRC?), and Hyde FC was created?

City haven't "bought out" Hyde, they've just invested a lot of money into the club and stadium. The Elite Development Squad play their games there, and as part of the deal, CITC sponsor Hyde FC, and City have had the infrastructure at Ewan Fields improved.

No we were not wound up we paid all the money back to the taxman. We changed our name because it is the 125th anniversary of football in Hyde so we went back to our roots. Which mean't changing our name and home kit colour. from red to white.

They were originally called Hyde FC, changed to Hyde United and have now reverted back to their original name, probably because of the link with us.

Oh and yes that as well but to me without your help we wouldn't be here so I am grateful as are most of the Hyde fans.
Not all Hyde Fans unfortunately, my brother-in-law, for some reason a Norwich City Fan ??, used to go to Hyde all the time but wont go now because of the City influence on the Ground etc...

Andrew Jones, our 'keeper last year and before (in fact, 130+ consecutive appearances) eventually went to Winsford United at the start of the season. As luck would have it, Greg Hall who has played for us both up front and in goals returned and took over. I now hear that 'A.J.' might be returning as well, so we could be very strong in the goalkeeping department.

Road were a feature on Imagine FM's Bluemoon programme last Sunday (about 18mins in)

= .

The game at Hyde is ON - unless the weather gets worse....stay away rain - stay away

Derby Day

It's Hyde v Stalybridge this boxing day - big derby game made even more important by the fact it' also 1st v 2nd.

The 201* bus IS running every 30 minutes in on boxing day - but seems the trains aren't

*Manchester to Hattersley - passing Hydes ground

altrincham v droylsden; is also on boxing day;for those without a ticket for westbrom.-kick off 3oclock monday.

The only non league match I've seen was Hyde away to Hinckley, was hoping there'd be at least one away supporter there but unfortunately not ... the train ride back to Manchester was particularly boring. Have to admit I supported Hinckley ... their fans won me over with some ripping stories about how they sang Blue Moon during their away win over FCUM in the cup, and as a result the scum went after them on the way out!

But Maine Road and Hyde are definitely top of the list of non league teams I want to see play at home!
