I'm pretty sure I saw him score twice....... in the one game! Think it was against Fulham, and "thanks" Joey Barton doing the whole "knighting" thing with the corner flag. Daley was a decent enough player but struggled living up to the ridiculous fee that Swales paid for him, and Kevin Reeves was a cracking player.
Bradbury was piss poor and then came back and scored against us after he'd left.
The story that Big Mal told about Daley's transfer was that he agreed a fee of about £600,000 - IIRC - with Wolves, but P. J., great chairman that he was told his Wolves' counterpart that we'd break the British transfer record for Daley.
Swales never denied it.
Wolves added a few thousand and bought Andy Gray to break the British transfer record again.
