Hyped transfers who turned out to be garbage

I find it a bit bizarre that people are naming City players when there is whole fucking shitload of useless rag cunts to pick from.
Probably just me.
 
I remember Justin Fashanu being bigged up as scoring loads in reserve games etc. Terry Cooke was another big disappointment.

Given that the thread is in the bluemoon section, I took it as the OP meant City players.

Had the thread been in the General Football forum, players of other clubs would probably have been mentioned.

Hatem Trabelsi. The season before he came, he was regarded as one of the best right backs around, he came on a free with high hopes but was constantly injured and did nothing except for scoring an absolute peach against the scum at the swamp.
 
Someone who was and to a certain extent, still is hyped, is Kinkladze.

On blob he was unplayable, was an absolute plaesure to watch. Just a shame that happened about 1 every 14 games when he wasn't injured.
