I’m a celebrity!

Karen has an insight into autism and is seeing someone who is chalenging themselves, if you understand the condition then you understand how life works for them, what some posters are confusing is seeing someone who is overweight rather than someone who has a disability that causes poor choices.
I'm sure the critical posters have never met a high functioning autistic person or seen the sad day to day life they experience where ignorance however unmeaning hurts.
Anne will leave eventually and will have given her fellow celebrities a look into a world of an autistic person who means no harm to anyone, she lives in a world of kindness that only those close will ever understand.
I hope Anne's time in the jungle is a happy experience for her and well done Karen on your post's.
Thank you, your post is very enlightening as well, people expecting her to think the same as someone without autism is not open to learning,it's easier to slag her off, that's a very sad state of affairs

Never mind Anne, how boring was the Hollyoaks lad that got voted out last night? The interview was a real struggle.

Sounds like he's from these parts.

I'm sure he's a nice enough lad but struggling to see what entertainment value he brought to the show

That's why he's out, decent kid but didn't offer enough, same goes for Rita imo, then again it's all down to the editing we get lots of Fleur but I'm tiring of her raucous laughter now. No doubt the younger viewers will be loving her girl power persona and she did extremely well in that trial, bit of a wannabe scary spice.

I’d agree I don’t understand autism as well as many others. A question then, does her disability mean she can’t go and pick a few logs up and bring them to camp? As far as I know the answer to that is a big no. It’s the whole pandering to her that’s annoyed me, they gave her that role and instantly said oh no Anne you don’t have to get wood you just make sure the fire is on.

Funny how the hollyoaks lad is quick to be bashed for being quiet and not involved (despite when confronted with trials completing them all) yet all we are saying about Anne is the same that there’s no point her being there and the pc brigade are out in force.

I think in future series that they only have people there that can do all the trials without exemption.

I like Fleur, she has a wonderful attitude and is obviously great for morale around camp. She's also in amazing shape and i'm a sucker for any girl who enjoys the gym.

That will never happen, they want a wide range of people and ages,it's been the same from series one that people are excempt on medical grounds,it is not unusual at all,if you have seen the show before you would know that and not use it to moan at people(not you)

To be fair, they run extensive medical checks on everyone so they should definitely screen contestants better after the fact if they know they'll be unable to take part in 'x' amounts of trials.

They might either have to temper their trials in future and not make them as exclusive as they must be or screen contestants better.

I have nothing against her personally but it's not exactly fair and probably frustrating for the rest when anyone, not just her, is constantly exempt. She, herself, hasn't really offered anything to the show that any other celeb could have. By, positively or negatively, bringing up her autism people will inherently dictate that there's a stigma and perhaps even subconsciously treat her differently. Again, whether it be positively or negatively it's wrong and unfair.

Malique and Sair, for me, were just beige and offered very little in terms of entertainment etc. Anne's the exact same, except the latter two pulled their weight a lot more within the camp but the former is most likely going to stay in for a good while yet.
