I don't care how ugly his goals are. Theyre the type of goals we need. We've scored some beauties this season but the difference between us and other teams above us are the bobble goals that still give 3 points. A goal is a goal, I dont care if a gust of wind blows it across the line.

Caicedo is doing the business, thats all we should require. Hes our best striker after Bellamy. Tank man!

I've defended him for a while now, he is learning so much and gets a fair amount of goals.

im the same. i was right about ireland 2 years ago im right about big phil, the other player i believe is brilliant but yet to show it is fernades but i doubt he will get his shot anymore

I'm not sure to be honest. It's obvious Hughes wants a "big man up front", but I reckon, given a wider choice, it wouldn't be Big Phil. Methinks he's the man for now, but come the summer will be warming up the bench at best.

Would he honestly be getting games if Bellamy, Sturridge, Boj and Petrov were fully fit? No. He's going to be coming off the bench in the odd games next season and that's all he'll ever be for the rest of the time he's here.

Why are people ravin on about caicedo after todays game?, ok he scored a goal yeh, but for fuck sake me grandad could of scored that today, apart from the goal he did fuck all for the rest of the game and was on his arse as usual all the time, today he lost the ball 5 or 6 times thinking he had 10 minutes on the ball, his reactions are slow and he's generally a slow player, don't rate it much at all, boj upfront instead of phil everytime to me.

the 7 goals he has put away i could of finished everytime, so would i suddenly be amazing to everyone?, i think apart from his very very easy goals he doesn't give the team anything at all.

Get the scout's down to your local park then as you put a back healer in from 12 yards, or when you dip your shoulder and make a yard for yourself then blast it into the net.

Big Phil doesn't seem to have the Boj's ability but there are more things to football.

Furthermore, I am getting a feeling that he keeps scoring Goater-esque crap goals through sheer will power rather than skill. Surely that can't be a bad thing?
