I would maybe take Mourinho though if I could see him staying for longer time. He's the best out there. It would be difficult though as he would require more money to build his own team.

But don't want him come here and to get bored in 2 years. So, Mancini is the single option unless he, as you said, screw it hard.

the problem is that Mourinho is an absolute dick. it's not like i'd support city any less but everytime he'd pull his antics i'd cringe

I don't care if he is dick or not as well as you support Barcelona or not :)

He is the best in his job (or at least he would be when Ferguson retires) and has balls to stand in front all those twats that are doing everything to see us down. There's nothing like feeling a pressure while doing his job with Mourinho and if I would know he could stay with us for longer period I'd be for him no matter what as he is the best character for team so hated like we are. RM are in pretty similar situation like we are and he is showing a finger to everyone very successfully and consistently.

But can't see him staying for long anywhere and don't want us to turn to another Chelsea where managers are been replaced each season + we're not in situation (FFPR) to provide him a money to build his team so I'd stick with Mancini even if I have some reserves about him.

to be fair, he did get one thing right. you're not allowed to beat (or finish ahead of) "certain" teams

The board have set him targets and no doubt some non-negotiables and if he meets them he should be allowed to continue.

If he doesn't then he will have to explain to the board why he should continue or worse still he will tapped on the shoulder and moved on.

You have to sure that your replacement is in a strong position to achieve better things and these days you are not given a lot of time to do so.

As Chelsea found out chopping and changing managers is not usually a good recipe for sustained success and lining your cabinet with more trophies.

well i dont think Mourinho is for a club like City who want to grow and increase the fan base. Mourinho is only loved by the english media because he's an utter cvnt just like them. in Italy he became the most hated man, in Spain he's very hated. He is basically planning his exit as he knows if he wins the league he can walk away with his head held high. But his own players have turned on him and he has single handed destroyed any relationship barca and real had and even made the spanish players turn on each other. He's as classless as they come and i really dont think he will get away with the same kind of attitude second time in England

How much has Ferguson spent over the years to build this squad?

Should Guardiola go too. They are way behind Madrid n the League

So you think finishing behind this Man u team is not enough to say Mancini has failed? Tell me how much more money do you give him in the summer before expecting the title. like i said take a look at the Man u team, there's no way that squad should finish ahead of us. Also keep in mind they have been without Vidic who is basically their Kompany

I suspect our entire strategy for comforming with the new FFP regs is built around Mancini staying for the long term. As Chelsea have discovered, new managers want new players, and those new players cost a fortune at this level. We simply can't afford to have another £200m splurge on new players, so Mancini will stay whatever happens imo.

We, as fans, just have to be patient. I'm still very confident we'll win the league this year, but if we dcon't it's not a disaster, and we just have to get on with it. Chopping and changing the manager every couple of years (and would Mourinho really stick it out any longer than that?) is NOT the way to achieve success.

hmmm good idea to piss away 2 and half years that Mancini has spent building this current squad. A new manager would need to spend even more money building HIS OWN squad. Like Mancini did when he took over from Hughes. Then the time it takes for that squad to jel, just like this squad is currently doing, before that squad could have a chance to be succesful people on here would be calling for his head.

This is our first sustained attempt to win the Premier League and a lot of people sound like they expect it to be plain sailing. It certainly won't be. Even if we do finish 2nd i do not expect Mancini to be sacked and for his developing squad to be disrupted. If we don't win it this year, then i am very confident that we, WITH MANCINI, can win it next year.

Come on be reasonable. We've caught and surpassed everyone in 2 seasons. Utd are level. Our team will grow and develop.

Do you realise how pathetic it makes City fans look putting pressure on the manager when top of the league? Or rags on a fishing trip
