I for one would prefer him to Jo or Santa Cruz.

no way RSC over crouch anyday

RSC is always injured, they are the same age, Crouch has better feet and would fit into our system better, he's a proven PL striker that will score goals (his England record speaks for itself) whereas RSC is a bit of a one season wonder however we haven't seen enough of him to judge. The only thing RSC has over Crouch at all is in the air which I suppose we need lol. Either one I think it would be an improvement but would prefer Crouch. I want Tevez now though lol.

I for one would be embarrased if we signed Couch. After all the speculation and players were linked with if we ended up with him it would be laughable!

I don't have any inside knowledge on Tevez unfortunately but I hope he comes, if only to piss off the reds....

Expect more news on a signing by wednesday though....

People said the same over the Bellamy deal and that was done under similar circumstances. But to be fair, when he's been fit Bellamy has been great and scored some vital goals in Jan-Feb-March.

With the greatest respect, anyone who thinks Crouch has 'better feet' than RSC, hasn't watched RSC properly. He's a brilliant highly skilled footballer & genuinely two footed. He's easily good enough with his feet to play up front for Brazil & took them to the cleaners last time he played against them.

Its embarrassing that you put so much emphasis on lazy journalists making up stories because we have money, imo. Crouch isn't a superstar signing but i can understand why we're after a player in his mould.

This is fast becoming the problem. We cant help who the press link us with and most fans have been around long enough to be realistic and appreciate that it is unlikely we will sign the worlds best players straight away. The money seems to have brought delusion to a certain section of fans, to the point that signing an England international striker is deemed an embarrassment. We dont have a devine right to sign the best players in the world, and to be honest we need to build slowly towards success, rather than buy 2 great players who leave after 1 season cos we dont get in the Champions League and Crouch would fit the bill.
