What a load os crap is posted on here.

Lets get one thing straight Mancini inherited an unsettled squad from Useless and has had to make do, he hasn't gone out at the first opportunity blowing cash all over the place.. Hughes spent a fortune and built his entire squad and still could not get them to play!

Hughes V Mancini

last seven games of Hughes

Sunderland (H) 4-3
Spurs (A) 0-3
Bolton (A) 3-3
Chelsea (H) 2-1
Hull City (H) 1-1
Liverpool (A) 2-2
Burnley (H) 3-3

10 points Goals for 15, Goals against 16

First seven for Mancini

Bolton (H) 2-0
Hull (A) 1-2
Pompey (H) 2-0
Everton (A) 0-2
Blackburn (H) 4-1
Wolves (A) 3-0
Stoke (H) 3-0

15 points Goals for 15, Goals against 5

We are the only side that Burnley have taken a point from away from Turf Moor this season....

Mancini has got us more points, scored as mant goals and conceeded 11 less in four home games and three aways for both. The only poor result for Mancini was the defeat at Hull, who gace Chelsea a damn good run for their money. I can categorically state that had Hughes been here he would not have achieved what Mancini has!!

YOu really do need to patient. If nothing else this may not prove Mancini is a good manager (which i think he is) but it does show how woefully inadequate Hughes was... with his hand selected squad and backroom staff

NOW LAY OFF!!

Nice to see you back, if only for the epic-irony factor.

Some things are worth being patient and waiting for.

Hughes was/is not one of them, we wasted two years with that clown... exactly as I said we would.

Ok, so the football is dire, yesterday was fuckin dire (so was the almosphere),but please,
Hughes legacy is wil be how he spent absolute shit loads of money creating an imballance in the team that even Pearce would have found hard to achieve.

Mancini v Hughes comparisons make me laugh my bollox off, so please stop it!!!

Wheres the imbalance?

Under Hughes we set up to attack. Under Mancini we set up to defend. its the same squad, same players so what your saying doesn't stack up. If we've got the squad to do both, where's the inbalance?

Exactly.

What we have not had since Hughes came here is the ability to bridge that gap, its either attack or defend. Fletcher, Lampard, Gerrard all able to do both and thus link up the 3 components.

Right and left sides, midfield and defence. Both managers have had to try so many different options as no one system or player choice has bought us the football we all crave (and in mind mind should have expected by now)

Up front: Tevez, Ade, Tevez and Ade, it should work either way, but the combination of who should play where and with whome is still pretty much a conundrum, and then Bellamy is also a front man apparently.

For me Hughes was a good manager, but far from a great one and now I have to agree with a few on here, we are watching some utter crap, but this def has more than a hint of the Hughes lagacy about it. Hughes had the benefit of £300million and 3 transfer windows (2 summer windows) to sign his very own players who he then could not decide who should play where and when and how etc etc.

Yet we are expecting Mancini to be able to do exactly that without the benefit of being able to take a long look at what we have here and then adding the players needed to make it work. That can only really be done with a summer transfer window.

Which unfortunately i get the feeling that win, lose, or draw Bob wont be given the chance to do that.

Harry Redknap and Martin o neil has to go now for sure, Spuds and villans draw against lower teams its not accebtable at all.
Spuds managed a 2-2 draw against bottom team Bolton( we won 2-0 a week ago???????), Villans 2-2 against a Palace team we won 2-0 against earlier in the season, even Man city won those games!!!
You in with Hughes, out with mancini tossers, can you wake up to the real world, you are unbeliveable, give the man a little bit more than 2 months to prove himself.

We sat back after scoring plenty of times under Hughes, that is how we became the draw specialists this season. Petrov was injured.

Add to that the lack of RW and attacking midfielders in the squad and what other choices does Mancini have? But of course it's nothing to do with MH!

Sweep, I wasn't Hughes' biggest fan to be honest. It was a problem we had, and should be rooted out, but Mancini isn't doing anything about it. That might change hopefully. As for the lack of attacking players in the squad, why couldn't Ibrahim, or one of the attacking youngsters like Nimely, or Mak be on the bench? It would be better than 4 defenders, and 1 not even fully fit striker.

mark would have beaten chelsea and got us to wembley.

lol, and the way you have been flying the Hughes flag mate, you probably mean 'on his own'!

Well to be fair, Hughes tended to get it together for the big games, he did beat Chelsea, he would have drawn at the swamp if it weren't for the Fergie time.

And with the whole Lescott saga I don't think he'd have lost to Everton.

When people mention mancini's results thus far, they fail to mention the cup games, which haven't been impressive. A 1-0 win against Boro, a win and a loss in the derby (lost by two goals at the swamp against Hughes' 1 goal), and an abominable display yesterday against Stoke.

Hughes had much more difficult cup games imo, (arsenal, Fulham as opposed to Stoke and Boro) but did much better with them.

You can make the stats say whatever you want, but from where i'm sitting we are not scoring goals anymore, the first few games under mancini the attack seemed to be ridig off the coat tails of Hughes' attacking play, and now they have all but dried up. It does not bode well fore top 4 and an FA cup run.

Hmmm i forgot about that....

Mancini beats utd at Eastlands (something Hughes never did)....

As for cup runs... now let me think ha yes... Those awsome giants Brighton and Nottingham Forest, guess we were just outclassed.

I doubt a Mancini team would be unceremoniously dumped from cup competitions by lower league opposition...

Fuck Hughes once a red always a red , fuckin hate him along with Neville , Robson and Ferguscum ( we know why there famous ) the lot ov them hate them so once again fuck Hughes fuck Neville and fuck the man who had more dislocated than have I had wankes and thats a fuckin lot
