I miss Hughes

Hughes team is still here! Roberto wont get the chance to manage his City side until he's had at least the whole pre season bringing in whom he wants and selling the players not cutting it, people need to remember this.

So you agree we've just set ourselves back 18 months.

Jesus, things aint that bad.

All the current problems are the slow exposing of Hughes' limitations as a manager.

That cock set us back 12 months on the grand master plan.

And that's why many of us wanted Hughes out after his first full season in charge rather than giving him this mythical extra season to do it "with his team".

He should have gone at the end of that first season, we should have brought in a quality manager then... and if you want to question the running of the club, this was a mistake that HAS set us back 12 months... as was predicted on here at the time.

Well said. ADUG wasted their first 18 months on him, let them (and us) move on.

I don't. I'd like to know how he managed to spend £200m on a team whilst still not managing to sign a couple of midfielders who can keep possession and a defender that can lead and command the backline. Probably the two most important positions.

Blaming Hughes now is pointless. He's gone and thats it, and left a team most managers out there would love. Mancini's negative tactics, and questionable subs, have nothing to do with Hughes. Its just pointless digs to try and justify some of things Mancini does.

You need a more apt user name mate.

Mancini has to manage the team he inherited from Hughes. That means no balance, no cover in key positions and a medical bill like Haiti on a bad day. All due to the previous managers inability to properly spend the £200,000,000 transfer budget he had.

So the going in the shell after taking the lead, the bringing on of another defensive midfielder (at 1-1), the taking off Petrov, playing Ireland on the wing, was all because of Hughes? Thanks for making that clear, now I know the reason.

The over reactions on here and the divisions amongst the fans are still Hughes' fault.

I would like nothing more than to never see or hear from the **** again, but some on here just won't let it go, and are still sulking and trying to prove they were right to back Hughes - hence the desperate desire to discredit Mancini (and threads titled like this one).

Selfish and destructive, but hey, some people are just cunts who think they are more important than the good of MCFC. What can you do?

We sat back after scoring plenty of times under Hughes, that is how we became the draw specialists this season. Petrov was injured.
