I Need a New Broadband Provider - Any Recommendations Appreciated.

Just bumping this as I'm looking for a new provider.

Virgin are taking the piss with the prices now and not offering any deals at all, despite being with them for a few years now.

I'm always wary switching providers as I need it for work

With Virgin, never had a problem, fast as fuck, currently £140 cash back with Topcashback which is the deal we got 12 months ago. Will be getting their gig2 when it comes to our area.

If you're currently with them and you live with somebody. Cancel it and sign them up as account holder. Again something we did.

I’m with BT as they were the most reliable round here
My contract is up in Feb and I’m on full fibre 100 at £37 pcm and the sport at £12.32 pcm

They’ve contacted me and offered a couple of quid off the broadband if I renew and my sports price will stay the same (both are subject to the RPI increase though)

I think someone has mentioned previously that the BT Sport package can be added to Prime, which we have. Is that correct and how much is it. I’ve searched the interweb and can’t find anything

And is there an “as reliable” fibre broadband provider anyone can recommend?
The Discovery+ app will become the new home for TNT Sports, eventually replacing the BT Sport app. You can sign up to this either through Discovery+ itself or through Amazon Prime which will cost an additional £30.99 a month. Plus, you can also sign up to TNT Sports through Sky.1 Nov 2024

All of them are much of a muchness with fibre. You won’t get the sport cheaper than you’ve got there.

Shop around, find a cheaper provider for the same speed, then ring the BT cancellation line and say what you can get elsewhere. They’ll match it.

Little warning with the last part.
There should be a 3 month gap when switching account holder to be classed as a new contract. Might get away with it but could be an issue.

This really pisses me off. The accepted way to calculate inflation is using CPI. It should be dead easy for the government/regulator to stop any increase being in line with the higher RPI. I think rail ticket prices are also done in line with RPI. Look after the consumer even if just in a small way.

I know this is not for everyone but it's the best thing I've done!

Bought a second hand unlocked Three 5g Router for £99 bought a data EE sim for £229 that lasts 18 months and it automatically tops up every month of 600gb a month (limit which is plenty for me) I know you have to initially layout £330 that works out at around £18:50 a month, when 18 months is up I buy another 5g sim for £229 then my out lay a month works out at £12:75 a month! Speeds why from 120/200mgb

Also in the sale bought a 5g sim from three lasts 2 years 500gb a month limit for £130 speed not as fast 50/150mgb

No contracts no hassle no increase every few months from virgin media or BT!

Three, depending on where you are have really fast 5g. We can get 650mb+ in Stretford.
