I still think we will win the league

I want Leicester to win it now, Spurs will look back on this season in ten trophyless years and think this was the one they should have won. Spurs and Arsenal had this arrogance that it was between them, Leicester winning it would be a huge kick in the teeth.

The biggest missed opportunity for a league title ever.
Based on that comment, your knowledge of football history is pitiful. Blackpool in the 1939/40 season springs to mind.

'Ever' is such a big word to use and one that usually leaves you hopelessly exposed. If you were as bright as you seem to believe you are, you'd realise that. The words we all use in the course of our daily lives are a weapon, both for and against us. You appear to have pretentions of intelligence and yet it seldom seems to manifest itself in any meaningful sense. We're all guilty of not being quite as clever as we'd like to think we are from time to time, and you're certainly no exception.

Everyone involved at this club should hang their heads in shame if we miss out on the league to Leicester. Would be an enormous achievement for them, but an absolutely damning indictment on us, and our manager.

Not just us. It includes all the other Top teams and managers, especially Wenger. So far, he had his excuses of machine guns vs stones, injuries etc. He doesn't have any excuse this time other than his own incapability.

I can't see City losing Kompany, Aguero, De Bruyne, Nasri and Silva to injury two successive seasons. I don;t think we'll end up with more injuries than teams who have played the same no of games as us, but we lost all our best players. And our best player has lost it. I'm not sure Pellegrini could have done that much, although he should have anticipated Toure' situation.

If he'd have been tactically flexible, taken the opposition into account, prepared the team in training and come up with a gameplan that gave us a chance of winning despite the injuries etc I don't think there would be half the venom on here. Make no mistake Pellegrini has cost us points with his disgraceful management of this side.

This season has seen what the shake-up of the sky4 dominance is really about. City were hamstrung by the stitch up that was laughably labeled FFP. We were left with an ageing squad unsuited to the modern game where very high athletic ability can overcome skill. Our squad should guarantee success is being quoted as fact, but does not mean much in reality, we have never had like for like replacements for our best players.
Chelsea had a squad that walked the league last year, management turmoil wrecked their chances this year, and a similar thing has been a factor in our results.
If we had been single-minded in winning the league I think we would have done it, but we don't have the strength in depth to go for four trophy's. all things considered a top three finish and a cup is about as good as we could manage IMO.
No matter how we finish this season, Lcfc would have to lose 4 out of 8 games for us to have a chance, not going to happen is it.
