I was annoyed when Dzeko equalised.

I thought: "You buggeroos. I don't mind being serial failures but it's the continual hope that kills you".
Then after Aguero scored and I came down a bit and the teams were traipsing back for the kick-off, I was sure QPR would score just to cap the day off nicely - but fortunately they were safe by then and couldn't give a toss for the 30 seconds or so that remained - which seemed like 5 mins. But there you go.

Seconds before the Aguero goal, I remember watching the QPR fans celebrating cos they knew they'd stayed up and saying to my mate "Why don't they just let us score, it doesn't matter to them any longer"

There's a few rags I know that to this day still say thats what they did

When Dzeko scored I entered a half dream world. Just prior I had my head in my hands, slumped in my seat in block 325. It was like a door that had been slammed shut half opening again. It's difficult to explain, but I just knew we would score again. The weirdest, most wonderful, most all over feeling five minutes of football ever.

Some absolutely brilliant stories on this thread, thanks for sharing, Blues.

A moment that could never be topped I don't think. I hope someone makes a coffee table book with some of these stories, or at least it gets preserved in the classics thread.

I wasn't annoyed but had the sense that the goal was too little too late.

Trust city to wipe away 44 years with, not just a normal run of the mill league title win, but one of the most famous moments in the history of English football

I guess it was never gonna happen any other way really

I think it was THE most famous. A moment in time that you really couldn't have made up but that City actually delivered.

When silva walked up to take the corner, I was feeling as low as I've ever felt watching city, sat with my 2 boys in a bar in Calgary with noisy gloating reds who'd never seen Manchester.

I had one eye on my car parked outside and had actually put my jacket on to leave.

Dzeko equalized and my thoughts were akin to...you fuckers, I've steadied myself for the despair and now you've given me a glimmer of hope, which will only worsen my despair in a couple of minutes.

Anyway, the only other worthwhile thing to say is when Aguero scored I jumped higher than I've ever jumped, and the ensuing "rush" meant my legs went. I literally fell on the floor and could not stand up for a minute. I guess that's delerium for you.

So much of this post I can relate to, only difference is being inside the ground.

What, you were surrounded by gloating reds!?!? Which ground were you in?

;-)
