I was at 'the Ballet On Ice' game. Anyone else?

Me too and how about Swindon home 1963 ?

If you mean 1965, when we lost 2-1, with our lowest ever attendance of 8,015, (Buzzer scored for Swindon)....I was in the almost deserted scoreboard end...

As I recall, that was the original 'York away' game. Over the years the attendance grew to over 60,000.

was at stoke away in 98, and i was one of the idiots who turned up for the AW game against mansfield. however, i am one of only three people on this forum who wasn't at york away. gutted, came so close to being a real city and blew it

Yep, I was there....as well as Newcastle, last game of the season.....Both iconic matches in City's illustrious history......:)

Yeah, both those, the Scunny 8-1 game, the game Colin Bell scored for Bury agin us, Bert's testimonial, the game we paraded the 2nd Div trophy in '66, the 3-1 at OT in '68, the game Colin Bell made his return from injury, the Fenerbache game, the Gornik game. Happy Days.

And for good measure was at the WC QF "Hand of God" game..

Missed the '76 League Cup Final (only 5yrs old).
Saw us play AC Milan at home
Saw us play Borussia Moenchengladbach at home
Missed the '81 Cup Final and replay
Missed the '83 Luton relegation game.
Missed the '86 Full Members Cup
Missed the 10-1 (could only afford the one match that week so went the Wednesday before vs Boro who were either top or near top at the time thinking it would be a better match than Huddersfield the following Saturday)
Was at the 5-1!
Saw Lakey swallow his tongue :-(
Sure I saw something similar happen to Morely too in that era?
Missed Bradford away
Was at the Stoke Boxing Day away, but not in fancy dress.
Was at the Kippax's Last Stand
Saw Kinky's wonder goal vs Southampton
Missed the Stoke away relegation.
Missed York away
Was at the Mansfield AW home game
Was at the Play Off final
Missed the Blackburn away promotion
Was at Maine Road to watch Rat Boy pass to Goater as we put 3 past the bastards.
Was at Lokeren
Was at the last league game at Maine Road vs Southampton
Was at CoMS to see Trevor Sinclair et al put 4 past the bastards
Was at CoMS to see little Gio score our only shot of the game as we mugged those bastards
Was at the FA Cup Semi Final to see us slam those bastards
Missed the Final
Was at QPR to win the League

was at all those. the scunny 8-1 (63-64) was unusual because it was only 1-0 at half time. that came when city scored 18 goals in 3 games over christmas with a 6-1 home win over rotherham and a 4-2 away win over scunny as well.

the game colin bell scored on his debut for bury was the same season. it was also notable because city keeper harry dowd equalised. he'd injured his hand or arm and there were no subs then so he just went up front while matt gray went in goal.

Hmph. Wasn't at anything mentioned by the OP. Suppose I'd better defect, as I'm obviously not worth anything as a Blue. But which club to defect to? Might have to be the Minstermen, based on the fact that I was really there.

What about Jimmy Greaves debut for West Ham against us in 1970...
I remember is pissed down all day and he ran riot!
I think on one goal Corrigan booted the ball out, then turned round to walk back and Greaves booted back into the net for a goal! I think we got beat either 1-5 or -1-6.
