Ian Cheeseman (and his VLOGs)

And I trust White when he says he could have managed a commentary without mentioning so if it's ok with you, I'll stick with David White.

Either way, your original post said he may have been ordered to keep silent and so you obviously were not been aware of the story when it broke nor did you read David White's opinion on losing his co-commentary job.
I trust David too, and if it never happened he would never have said it. But let's not jump to conclusions. The law works in strange ways and the CPS will only launch a prosecution if they are sure a case is likely to be successfully concluded. Like it or not but that is how the law works in this country.

you really are missing the point here aren't you.

David was going to co commentate on a city match, not hi-jack the match to talk about his own issues ffs. But the BBC have blocked him presumeably until the case against Bennell is over, which could be a year, two, whatever. so David is not meant to dare to go in public and talk about football anymore, he is meant to sit at home.

(and we all know how the law works in this country thank you very much..)

I'm not missing the point as I am saying the same as you!

As an aside, Brazil on the other toilet of a station still broadcasts despite his own claims. Why this difference from the BBC's code of conduct?

So does anyone know if Ian Cheeseman is commentating on the Liverpool v City match tomorrow or not???

As for the David White situation, I agree with everything David White said. He wasn't going to be discussing anything apart from football and City's match. But I am rapidly losing all faith in the BBC as an impartial public broadcasting company!!

Its been far from impartial for a very long time as far as City are concerned, and its not alone.

I know that about their City non-impartiality Cleavers but I had hoped that they were impartial about other topics and am more and more of the opinion that they are not!! Sorry if that digresses from the topic of what the heck is happening with Cheesey and David White. :-)

They're not, and its far from just City, in fact the City situation are but a small part, its far worse in other areas, politics, science, etc, and yet they are still better than other news agencies.

I think its sad that news agancies, don't just report facts, and leave it for us to work out what's right.

As far as I'm concerned love it's completely gone for me.

I think the BBC is a f****** disgrace at times.

No it doesn't. Sky Sports didn't feel forced to take Le Tissier off the air.

The BBC have been castigated in Parliament for their idiotic decision with White for a good reason.

So the BBC gives contracts to peados but punishes the victims?

An established British institution in which we can all be proud.

Can you think of a more impartial news organisation than the BBC? I genuinely can't.

Of course the BBC has it's own agenda's, of course it's got many faults, but I can't think of a news organisation that is more impartial.

They've made a huge error with this David White epidode, no doubt. But I'd say that was more to do with a procedural error than them being partizan against abuse victims.

They are mainly concerned with covering themselves, hence Saville etc were able to get away with it for years & nobody had the balls to say anything.

You would think they might have learned something, but apparently not.

Yeh so again, procedural problem as opposed to not being an impartial news source.

As a news source the BBC isn't perfectly impartial by any means, but I can't think of a more impartial one.
