Ian Cheeseman (and his VLOGs)

If I recall correctly, Paul Lake was with Cheesey that day. Has he been dropped from the station too? Just a general question as I rarely listen to local radio.
If there's an ounce of truth that it kicked off over the David White interview, it might be worth noting that Lakey's wife Joanne wrote Whitey's book.

Cheesey posted a video tonight on his Facebook page about winning the title 5 years ago this week
His first post since going off air.
Spotted that myself this morning.
His previous post was on 1st Dec.

you know what gone on and we all know the power in the media and with the bbc is never bite the hand that feeds you
somebody ? dare to question the officials and the ref in the chelsea game and if you watch the game a shambles is being nice and you can only call it like it was but when told to gloss over it and never question the powers at the FA in a interview even in a twitter account your asking for trouble

you have to toe the line and say what is right for the boss and not your listeners but i don't think you could not call it any other way in that chelsea game and for the love of football and manchester city he lost it and cross the line and many have done so in the past and never work again in the media and sadly its looking that way for cheesy even working for manchester city the BBC will block him and have him bang to writes its a dirty world and don't forget it
Just read this. No way under employment law could they sack him and then restrict his future place of employment, unless it was under some form of two sided compromise agreement? As I said before, replace hugh ferret with him would surely be a win win situation (for everyone other than the ferret that is)

the rules of employment are so different in the media and if you step over the line at the bbc your done. so many small prints to a contract and you sign a confidential form and giving them the power in seeking other employment outside of the bbc to keep your mouth shut and nobody will take the gamble and face a court case if you talk

its sounds like a small radio station job but its under the rules of the bbc and the premier league and your paid to do a job and keep your opinion to a minimum but what cheesy did was step over the line and call somebody a cheat in the media. you know your twitter account is loaded with people and he should have known better its not like he is new to the job and you can not bite the hand that feeds you and the bbc and premier league will take action

any involvement at manchester city will come under the premier league so i don't see anything can happen on that front with city tv employing him and that will count for most football jobs with in the media he is in a deep hole and will need time out of the limelight and the only way back in is the lick alot of bums and take it on the chin

I bet he knew the consequences of what would happen, but sometimes you reach a point you just have to say it as you see it because you have simply had enough. It appeared like a spur of the moment outburst off the back of a bad defeat, but you can bet Cheesy had been boiling under the surface for a while after some of the bulls**t refereeing displays we've seen this season.

So often, people just keep their mouths shut, and suffer in silence. Anyone who speaks out is incredibly brave; especially when they know their livelihood is at stake.

sadly i think your right matey
but should had done it in a better way than just plain call out somebody for cheating knowing it would be causing storm in the media

sometimes saying nothing says all you need to say and i don't think anybody involved with manchester city that day needed to say anymore than what you was watching it was plain to see manchester city was being done over and should have just left it to the fans to chew it over and call out the ref and by letting the fans say it would have been better by cheesy and your still getting the message across but i the right way

cheesy is a great lad and loves manchester city like us fans but he had a job to do and report on the game and call it in a fair and right way for the listeners and the bosses. now if it was me or any other blues not trained in the media we would have lost in the game and blow up right on air but cheesy been around the block long enough to know better so his judgement was wrong. maybe something in his personal life or just under the weather made him blow up like he did but the lad never done it before so the bbc should not have cut him off like they have done and sold him down the river

maybe there is more to it than just a slap on the hand and the bbc are under alot of pressure to cut jobs and local radio would be the first to feel the axe and sports and football are always the first thing the beep will cut when they have a full online red button football and reporters at games for 5 live so maybe the bbc will see it the best way out and boot radio manchester sport into touch
