Ian Wright at it again [Merged]

Re: Ian wright is at it again

Some people say I am a hypocrite, claiming I went OTT to do my old foe Peter Schmeichel in a match between my Arsenal and Manchester United in 1997.

That was different. I maintain things had been said.

And the bottom line is, I never set out to injure the keeper. I just wanted to let him know I was there.

I could have done his standing leg, or ankle, but I didn't.

I went for the ball. He played the rest of the match.

What a fooking hypocrite!

I didn't read the article, are you sure that's not from some spoof news website, like http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/spo ... 010113153/

I had to go to the Sun website to check that he actually said that, and lo and behold he did. Absolutely amazing.

Heard that tosspot Neil Warnock on TS on Sunday saying it was the worst tackle he's ever seen.

flaming hell, Neil Warnock's seen a few ;)

The match was unusual in that it was abandoned due to Sheffield United having only six players left on the pitch.

I also seem to recall him staunchly defending Chris Morgan after his notorious elbow that fractured Ian Hume's skull, despite not even being his manager any more.

People like Warnock for some reason, but I followed him quite closely a few years back, and he struck me as a weasle worded, self-serving, profoundly uber-narcissistic twat .

Anyone else I can slag off? I'm on a bit of a roll here...

Was just going to mention that, Battle of Bramall Lane.

De Jong's is far worse!

Just emailed the prick.

Well its true Mr. wright you are nothing but a hypocrite, you cannot excuse your tackle by saying things had been "said" while ignoring the fact that Nigel De Jongs tackle was seen by close standing officials and deemed fair, while ignoring the fact that on replay the tackle is seen to be fair by all except you and had a very unfortunate yet accidental outcome, and while ignoring the fact that every one of your warblings over the last few years has been sensationalist and attention seeking drivel. you are a disgrace to journalism and football and i am sure you must be a constant embarrasment to your sons .

He tries to justify that by saying schmeichel called him names.

Which puts him in the same space as Roy Keane, deliberately trying to injure a fellow professional. Not a patch on De Jong who just tackles hard.

-- Tue Oct 12, 2010 6:52 am --

Just read the article and what does he think De Jongs and SWP relationship is going to be like now?

NEWS FLASH: Ian Wright says - The only reason SWP is being singled out and given a starting spot is because Mancini hates me telling the truth. We this same sh*t with Sven - I am sick of all foreign managers ruining my son career.

Re: Ian wright is at it again

Ignorance and hypocrisy run wild.

Graham Polls article this week described De Jong as "flying in airborne long after the ball was gone". Attached photo showed De Jong sliding in on the ground with ball on the end of his toe.
So either Poll hadn't seen the tackle or he had and doesn't know what he's looking at. Not sure which is worse but neither can be good.

I bet this kind of shyte makes SWP cringe knowing he has to see NDJ in training.
