We'd challenge for the CL title with that team. Pace, power and skill.

More like this I'd imagine

------------Aguero-------Ibra------
-------------Silva-----Navas--------
-----------Fernandinho---Yaya-----
Clichy----Nasty----Kompany----Zabaleta
---------------Hart---------------------

N our reserve team can take care of Carling/League cup

Jovetic--------Nedgero/Dzeko------------????
---Milner---Rodwel-----Nasri/Daniel-----
Clichy/Lescott----Richards----Kompany----Maicon
---------------Hart--------------------

N thn we have good bench:Sinclair/Barry/Garcia

All these lineups are very cute for Carling Cup, Community Shield etc.

Cute, because you guys dont have Ibra in the lineup.

Cute, because unless Ibra is out injured, he is in the lineup. He doesnt sit. For anything, or anyone

It's insane to imagine that the greatest relief I felt, was my team ridding of possibly the best CF on earth at this moment.

Thing is Ibra is now starting to run out of clubs where he can call the tune, if he is unhappy at PSG and we don't know if he is or not and if we are the only club to take him I would have thought it would be on our terms rather than his. If other clubs are in for him such as RM then all the above irrelevant because he will go there instead.

Interesting fact from wiki:
On 8 October 2012, Ibrahimović became only the third player (after Ronaldinho and Laurent Blanc) to have played in the El Clásico in Spain, the Milan derby in Italy and the Le Classique, the derby between Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain...
City-Utd may be next derby :)

Ibra would make us a very strong contender for the title, even more so than now, but on the other and he's already 31 and would probably only have 1-2 good seasons. So we would be paying his wages until his contract runs out or close, not to mention the very high transfer fee.

I would have to say 'no' as much as I love the player. Then again there arent many alternatives as I think Jovetic should be a no go too.

Paris \ Marseille derby, seems to be stretching the concept of a derby a bit too far, quite literally

Isn't Ajax-Feyenoord also the same kind of derby, the "Klassieker"? Even though Ajax comes from Amsterdam and Feyenoord from Rotterdam.<br /><br />-- Sat Jul 13, 2013 4:19 pm --<br /><br />

Madrid and Barcelona are quite distant too, but it is still the equivalent of a derby...
