Ibra..would you have him yes or no?

Pros
A truly world class player.
Wins titles wherever he goes.
Scores goals wherever he goes.
Our young Swedish striker worships Zlatan.

Cons
He's 31.
He'll be one of our highest earners.
He could fall out with some of the players.

I say take the risk.

I agree. He's still got a huge worldwide profile as well so we'd get a decent amount of dollar back in shirt sales/sponsorships etc. His age doesn't bother me too much, he's still fit a a fiddle.

RT @Jon_LeGossip: Napoli's de Laurentiis to Tutto Napoli: "Ibrahimovic will not play with Cavani. He has been promised a transfer." #PSG
- Here we go

This makes the Cavani transfer look even more stupid - paid circa £20m over the odds for a player and then drive you best player out of the club as well - probably for a low fee... In all honesty in the short term I can't see swapping Ibra for Cavani being a huge step forward for PSG - on the basis the exercise will have cost them (net) over £50m with agents fees etc.

DeLa: Ibra & Cavani won't play together

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The Partenopei sold Edinson Cavani to the French champions for €63m, and is expected to complete his move at some point next week.

The San Paolo side's chief though, has insisted that the Sweden and Uruguay internationals won't be playing with each other, whilst also commenting on Walter Mazzarri and his thoughts for the season.

“Ibrahimovic will not play with Cavani,” he told reporters. “He has already been promised to other shores.

“Mazzarri to Inter? Everyone is talking about him now.

“But they didn't do that at Napoli because everyone is against us.”

Think I would be happy if we got him. We'd be real contenders for CL never mind prem.

In the region of £18m I think we would go but don't think we'd pay £20m for 31 year old.

Not sure his personality would fit in with the rest of the squad though.

£15m would be a good deal.

Given his personality and that he wants the team to play to his strengths you would have almost bet a pound to a penny he would be the perfect replacement for Cavani at Napoli.

Nothing suggests to me we are serious about him, in fact I would say even less likely to be after him if Dzeko staying.

Can't see it now Dzeko is staying. Ibra is a top player and will want to be playing every game, and would be guaranteed to start probably, leaving Dzeko on the bench the majority of the time. Negredo is different, he isn't as high profile as Ibrahimovic and him and Dzeko would have an equal chance of starting. Signing Ibrahimovic upsets the apple cart, Negredo doesn't.
