Why do people say this? The planet is a pile of rock and water. It won't be destroyed by humans. Some species of plant and animals suffer because of us but others thrive. The biggest victims of overpopulation is humans. We just need to find ways to manage this in the fairest way possible. We don't need a holocaust to save the flowers.
