Fantastic. Volcanoes have fascinated me my entire life. Still never seen one close up in real life. It’s pretty much the only thing on the bucket list.

It's been closed since the eathquakes kicked off in October, it reopened on Sunday, not sure what the situation is today.

Some fucker has unionised them and they've coordinated with the NUR (National Union of Reindeers) to stop the job unless their demands are met.

They built an earth barrier to hopefully deflect any lava from the town, it largely did it's job when it erupted earlier today.

Unfortunately a small new fissure opened on the wrong side of the barrier, and it has affected a few houses on a new (pre evacuation) development. The first house burned, had never been lived in, but was complete, a second house also caught fire, since then it's gone dark, and obviously nobody is going near to investigate.

There's no power in the town, so no lights, but workmen are currently moving earth to create another barrier, trying to contain a much larger lava flow to the north of the town.

Good luck to those brave workmen, as the eruption is ongoing in several fissures.
