Love that one of Yaya's FA Cup winner!

This is one of my all-time favourite football photos, not particulalrly iconic or owt, just "old school". a pic of Maine Road with lads trying to thaw out the pitch before a game:

Here's a great photo of The Kippax and Bert Trautmann:

And one of Billy Meredith in the 1904 FA Cup final, don't know if this was leading up to the winning goal or owt but he did score it:

Years ago i came across a photo in a book about City, that i thought would make a decent artwork to hang on the wall.

It was of Paul Moulden, dressed in jeans, black leather bomber jacket, adidas trainers etc doing keep-ups in one of the alleys
near Maine Road, with the Main Stand in the background.

I felt it typified everything about City (and going watching City) in the 80's, from the clothes, the memory of nipping down the
alleys to get to the ground, the team being crap and the reliance on youth players etc

Would love to be able to get a copy of the photo now to stick up on my wall, but i've never seen it since and can't even remember
what book it was in.

Great pics everyone :) Great memories...

But if he's to nick one off the internet to get a large print done, the original has to be a lot bigger than these, otherwise you get a blocky terrible crap picture.
If he has a scanner he could always find a pic in a book and scan it large himself, then use that jpeg to get the photo print made.

Depends how far away he stands when looking at it.

If he puts it on the wall in his living room he could stand in the back yard and look through the window and you won't be able to see the pixelated blocks too much ;)
